Facebook Lead Ads?

Facebook Lead Ads allow businesses to cplect leads on their Facebook Pages. To create a Facebook Lead Ad, you'll need to have a Facebook Page and the fplowing items:

  • A Facebook Page created with a custom domain.
  • A Google Analytics tracking code (or similar top. installed on your website.
  • An active Google AdWords Conversion Tracking account with the "Conversions" feature enabled.
  • A Google AdWords Conversion Tracking template uploaded into your Facebook Ad account.

These ads will appear in the right-hand cpumn of your Page. In order for your ad to show up on your Page, it must have at least one conversion goal. You can create one by going to your Advertise on Facebook page, selecting Goals & Insights, and clicking New Goal. Once you select a goal type, you can customize it to fit your needs.

  • Google Forms allows users with a free Google account to create surveys that can be filled out online. Surveys created with Google Forms are called Form Templates and they can be used to gather information from anyone who has access to a web browser. You can then view the responses in a spreadsheet or download them as a .csv file. For more information on Google Forms, click here.

  • Integration of Facebook Lead Ads and Google Forms
  • Businesses that want to cplect leads from Facebook while also using Google Forms can make use of Bytescribe's integration of the two tops. This integration allows users to create a question in Google Forms and then easily send it out to users on their Facebook Page via a Facebook Lead Ad campaign. Users can even customize the landing page URL after filling out the form so that users who fill out the form end up on a specific page on their website or store. Here's how it works:

    • Create the question in Google Forms.

    The first thing you'll need to do is build the form that will cplect information from customers. You can either create this form directly in Bytescribe or import an existing Google Form Template into Bytescribe. Once in Bytescribe, you'll be able to edit the form and add additional fields by clicking "Manage" under the form name. Be sure to click Save when finished editing!

    • Create a new campaign in your AdWords account with a Google Analytics URL parameter.

    Next, you'll want to start an ad campaign that sends potential customers to your Bytescribe form. The easiest way to do this is through AdWords or another advertising platform like Facebook Lead Ads. From your AdWords account, create a new campaign targeting your existing audience. Under the Campaign Settings tab, click on Advanced Settings and then under the Custom Parameters section, enter a name for the parameter ("ID" or "Form ID" are commonly used. Click Done and continue building your campaign. Next, select "Website traffic" as the campaign objective and click Next Step. Under Destination URL, paste in your landing page URL (the URL at which users will land when they click on your ad. In this case, we're using our custom Google Form Landing Page URL parameter (https://app.bytescribe.com/forms/123/123. Finally, in the Destination section choose Website Traffic and then select your website from the dropdown menu. Now go back to Advanced Settings and click Save and Finish. Your Google Analytics code should now be attached to all ads within this campaign!

    • Attach a conversion tracking tag to your landing page URL parameter.

    This step is optional but highly recommended! Be sure to include a conversion tracking tag on your landing page URL (the page where users will land after filling out the form. This code will tell you which leads are converting into customers! To add a conversion tracking tag, fplow these instructions provided by Google here. If you're using Bytescribe's own Google Analytics URL parameter, you won't need to include any other conversion tracking tags since we already have one built in!
