Step By Step Trello Integration Guide

  1. To integrate the Trello app with Appy Pie Connect, search and select the app from the app directory. Choose the service required and press the Continue button to move further ahead with integration.


  2. Press the Connect an Account button and a pop-up will open containing information about how Connect will access your information and what particular part of your Trello account data would be shared. press the login button to move ahead with the integration of Trello.


  3. You will be asked to enter the credentials of the Trello account for the integration at Appy Pie Connect. press LogIn after filling in the information correctly.


  4. The Trello permit page will once again show the information about the account and the data that is going to be accessed by Appy Pie Connect, press Allow to grant the accesses required.


  5. Connect will reconfirm the account, press Continue to integrate the account shown.


  6. Select the services from the dropdown and press Continue to complete the integration.


Common Issues With Trello At Appy Pie Connect

Why are all activities not triggering my Connect?

To activate triggers for all activities at Appy Pie Connect you need to select a board. If the board is not selected then the trigger will be active only for the activities created by you.

Clickable URLs

Clickable URL is available for New Card triggers at Appy Pie Connect. For all other triggers such as New activity you need to check the Data Card URL or similar applications. Some triggers such as New Notification don't have a direct URL thus you have to build them by yourself.

Does Connect support Private and Public Boards?

Appy Pie Connect supports both private and public boards for Trello app.

New Card trigger is not working for ANY Trello board at Connect!

To trigger a New Card for each board you need to be the member for each board (using the account connected at Appy Pie Connect). Also, make sure that each board is connected at Appy Pie Connect.

I am facing Error 429: Rate Limit Exceeded

This error may be rare but it is possible as the Trello API allows you to make 300 call requests in every 10 second. If this limit exceeds then the error may occur. To avoid such errors try to limit your activities within the given API call limit.

Why am I unable to move my card in a different list?

To move a card in a different list, make sure that both of the lists are available on the same board. Connect does not allow you to move a card on a different board. As an alternative you can try to create a card in the targeted board with the same name and description.

My Trello cards are adding in a wrong board!

It is an error that can occur when multiple lists in different boards are created with the same name. To avoid this, try to reselect the particular board and list in Connect to add the cards in the correct location.

Is it possible to use fields from Trello Power Ups in Appy Pie Connect?

For now, Appy Pie Connect can’t access Trello Power Ups info, thus relevant triggers and actions will be unable to use the fields in it.

My trigger is not working on cards moved from other boards!

The “Card Moved” trigger only works for the cards moved from one list to another within a board. If the card is moved from one board to another then it will be considered as a new card by Appy Pie Connect.
