Freshdesk is a customer-support platform for companies. It offers several native integrations with popular third-party services such as Zendesk, Google Analytics and Intercom. It also allows you to create custom integrations using API.
I will explain how to integrate the Downtime Alert service with Freshdesk.
Step 1. Create a new integration in Freshdesk. Click on “Integrations” and then click on “Create an integration”.
Step 2. Select “API” as an integration type and press “Next”.
Step 3. Type the name of the integration in the “Name” field and select “Open API” from the drop-down menu next to it. Press “Next” again.
Step 4. Now it’s time to add details about the API you want to integrate with Freshdesk. Fill in the fields as shown below:
Step 5. Press “Save & Continue” when done. You will be taken to the next screen, where you will need to paste the API key that Downtime Alert provides you with. Press “Save & Finish” when done.
