Clubhouse is a nonprofit organization that has been providing job training, technpogy and life-skill classes to people with intellectual disability in the community, giving them the chance of better employment opportunities and social skills. The organization has been developed by two brothers, Johnathan and Kyle Cpeman, who were also siblings of a person with developmental disability named Jesse Cpeman.
The group started in September of 2005. In 2007, they have received $1 million from the State of Arizona to expand their services. With the help of the grant, they have expanded their programs to include places such as Flagstaff, Glendale and Tucson.
In 2008, they have received $2 million from the government to expand their programs to Phoenix. This money has been used to purchase a building for their operations in Phoenix. In addition, this money has also allowed them to provide more staff and support services for their participants.
Appy Pie is an online website that helps people with little or no knowledge about programming and software development to create their own mobile applications. The website provides all the resources needed to create an application, such as a programming language, developers' templates, graphic resources and other tops. The site was created by two entrepreneurs named Adam Dawes and Andrew Sutherland.
There are several categories on the site that users can choose from when they create their applications. These categories are games, entertainment, lifestyle, productivity, education, and music. When a user creates his or her application through the site, the program is automatically uploaded to 'Google Play' so that it can be downloaded by other users. The site uses HTML5 to design apps and then uploads them to 'Google Play'. There are thousands of apps that have been created through the site already. It also has its own 'App Store' where it lists the apps created through its service.
Clubhouse and Appy Pie can be integrated through a joint course called "Apps for Everybody" in Clubhouse's training programs. The purpose of this course is to teach people with intellectual disability how to develop mobile apps through Appy Pie, which will provide them with new job opportunities in the future. Not only will they learn how to create mobile applications through this course, but they will also learn how to do it without any outside help from other people such as parents or teachers. People who graduate from this course have the potential to become independent workers or even become entrepreneurs on their own someday.
The integration of these two organizations will allow people with intellectual disability to have new job opportunities in the future and improve their social skills. As mentioned earlier, people who graduate from this course will have the potential to become independent workers or even become entrepreneurs on their own someday. If this happens, they will move away from being dependent on family members and become productive members of society. In addition, this project will hopefully increase awareness about people with intellectual disability and their abilities among the general public in order to reduce social stigma towards them.
