Step By Step Guide For Creating Integrations For Formatter By Automate

1. To add the Formatter By Automate app in Appy Pie Automate, search and select the app from the Appy Pie Automate app directory. Choose the service for formatting your trigger data and press Continue to move ahead with integration.

2. Once selected the services, choose the Formatter required from the drop-down at Appy Pie Automate. There are multiple formats that allow you to modify the data as per the requirement. Below, we have given the details about each the Formatter:

   • Text
   • Date/ Time
   • Numbers

Text

The Formatter can help to fix the text and make it better. Multiple options available for formatting text are:

1. Capitalize - Capitalizes the first character of each intended word.
2. Convert Markdown to HTML - It converts the Markdown text to HTML, Appy Pie Automate Formatter supports GitHub format for markdown style.
3. Default Value - Can return a particular value if the text field is found to be empty.
4. Extract Email Address - Fetch a particular email address from the text & copies it.
5. Extract Number - Extracts all numbers from the text & copies it.
6. Extract Pattern - It searches for the match of particular expressions and gives the result for all matches having the same start and finish of the sentences.
7. Extract Phone Number - It fetches phone numbers and copies them (including the state & country code) from the text.
8. Extract URL - Searches and copy the URLs from the text
9. Length - Counts the number of characters in the text
10. Lowercase - Converts every character of the text in lower case.
11. Pluralize - Pluralizes all the given words (eg: Team becomes teams, the cat becomes cats)
12. Remove HTML Tags - Removes any HTML tag and turns the select text into a plain text.
13. Replace - Replaces any words, sentence, a character from the text to the given word, sentence, character.
14. Split Text - Content gets split or a separator after a specified interval.
15. Titlecase - It can capitalize on each word of the sentence having more than four characters.
16. Trim Whitespace - Deletes all the extra spaces from the end of the sentences.
17. Truncate - Gives a specific length to the characters in the text and removes extra ones.
18. URL Decode - Filters text out of URL.
19. URL Encode - Encodes text to use it as an URL.
20. Uppercase - Can capitalize on each character of the text box.
21. Word Count - Can count the words in a text.

Date/Time

Dates and times sometimes can be confusing between different apps. This can be due to the reason that some apps accept the date and time format differently than others. You can use Appy Pie Automate Date/ Time the Formatter to make the difference smooth including the add up of time zones etc.

1. Add/Subtract - It adds and subtracts time and dates from the current data. Dates can be increased or decreased in months, days & time can be changed in hours or minutes.
2. Format - Formats number, phone numbers, currency into different formats such as currency can be converted, numbers into decimals, etc.
