  • Click “Install Now” button
  • After installing, click “Activate Plugin” button
  • Under the section titled “Settings”, enter your Acuity Scheduling API key in the box labeled “Acuity Scheduling API key”. If you do not know your API key, go to https://app.acuityscheduling.com/account/api-keys . Click “Generate New Key” button then copy your API key into the box labeled “Acuity Scheduling API key” in the plugin settings page on WordPress. You can now close your browser tab with the Acuity Scheduling plugin settings page since you are finished setting up your integration between Acuity Scheduling and WordPress Quiz Maker. The settings page does not need to be open while creating appointments via the plugin on WordPress because it does not modify any information of your account on Acuity Scheduling nor change any settings of your account on Acuity Scheduling after it is set up correctly.
  • To create an appointment on WordPress using Acuity Scheduling, simply navigate to WPQuizMaker > Appointment Settings > [your appointment name] > Add Appointment. You will see a page that allows you to choose the time slot you want to reserve for your appointment along with other options such as whether you want your booking form to appear on your website or not, whether you want an auto-reply email sent out when someone books your time slot or not, etc. If you chose to send out an auto-reply email when someone books your time slot, you must enter an email address in the “Your Email Address” box of your WordPress website under WPQuizMaker > Settings > General Settings > Email Settings (under Email tab. or if you prefer not to send out an auto-reply email at all, you must check the box labeled “Automatically send out an email when someone books my time slot” under WPQuizMaker > Appointment Settings > [your appointment name] > Appointment Settings in the plugin settings page of your WordPress website. If you did not check this box, there will not be a box labeled “Your Email Address” in WordPress under WPQuizMaker > Settings > General Settings > Email Settings (under Email tab. You must check this box if you want an auto-reply email sent out when someone books your time slot otherwise there will be no email address in this section where you can put your email address in when creating an appointment via WPQuizMaker on your website or blog. When adding an appointment via WPQuizMaker that sends out an auto-reply email when someone books your time slot, you must enter a subject line in the “Subject Line” box of your WordPress website under WPQuizMaker > Settings > General Settings > Email Settings (under Email tab. You must enter a subject line here if you want an auto-reply email sent out when someone books your time slot otherwise there will be no subject line box in this section where you can put a subject line in when creating an appointment via WPQuizMaker on your website or blog. If you did not enter a subject line here when creating an appointment that sends out an auto-reply email when someone books your time slot, there will not be a subject line box in this section where you can do so when creating an appointment via WPQuizMaker on your website or blog after installing this integration between WPQuizMaker and Acuity Scheduling because it requires a subject line for sending out an auto-reply email when someone books your time slot via WPQuizMaker. You should not enter anything else in this section when adding an appointment via WPQuizMaker because it does not work properly if you do so.
  • To create an appointment on WordPress without sending out an auto-reply email when someone books your time slot, simply delete everything except for the date, time, description, availability level (i.e., 1 for open or 0 for unavailable), price (if you want to charge money for this appointment), status (i.e., 1 for available or 0 for unavailable), and any notes you would like to add about your appointment in the fields labeled “Date & Time” under WPQuizMaker > Appointment Settings > [your appointment name] > Add Appointment in the plugin settings page of your WordPress website.
