Integration of Intercom and Amazon CloudWatch

What are the benefits of integrating Intercom and Amazon CloudWatch

  • Cost Savings. You don’t need to run your own monitoring software.
  • Better Monitoring. You can use CloudWatch to monitor different metrics of your cloud-based applications compared to Intercom.
  • More Company Data. You can sync all your company data from Intercom with Amazon CloudWatch. This will allow you to have more data about your business.
  • More Funnels. You can start building funnels based on which events happen when. For example, you can know how many people abandoned their shopping cart on Amazon when they signed up for a free trial on Intercom. Or how many people who signed up for a free trial on Intercom converted into paid subscriptions.
  • New Metrics. With CloudWatch, you can get metrics that you wouldn’t be able to otherwise get using Intercom alone, such as average response time of your cloud application or amount of IOPS your database server is getting.
  • Sharing Data. With CloudWatch, you can share the monitoring data with other teams at your company. For example, you could share metrics about the number of visitors and page views of your website with the marketing team so they have better insights into the number of visitors and page views of your website.
  • Using Other AWS Services. You can use other AWS services with CloudWatch like Amazon Redshift or Amazon DynamoDB. This will allow you to store and analyze bigger amounts of data in real time compared to using just Intercom alone for your business analytics needs.
