  • In this section, I will discuss gravity forms and aws iot integration. In order to integrate these two services we need to use a plugin for gravity forms which is available in the WordPress repository. This plugin provides us with an interface where we can manage and configure our connections and events, and then we can access this data from our Alexa skill.

    Gravity Forms is a very useful top for creating web forms for many purposes. It allows users to build anything from a simple contact form to a fully integrated e-commerce store. By adding the provided AWS IoT plugin it allows developers to create a way for their customers or clients to communicate with them without having to rely on email or phone calls.     • Connectivity – AWS IoT supports both secure MQTT protocp over WebSockets (TCP. and REST API (HTTP. MQTT is a machine-to-machine (M2M. lightweight messaging protocp designed for embedded systems with low power requirements, high latencies, and small message sizes. The protocp connects devices using TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, IPv4, IPv6, MQTT over WebSockets (TCP), SMS, or XMPP. You can also configure one or more private MQTT servers for device-to-device communication.
    • Device Management – AWS IoT lets you securely connect, manage, and interact with billions of IoT devices. You can easily provision your devices into AWS IoT by simply pushing code to them without any additional hardware or infrastructure. You can also assign granular permissions to contrp which apps can access which resources on your devices.
    • Integration – AWS IoT supports seamless integration with other AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC), Lambda, Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS), Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Machine Learning, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), Amazon Route 53, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon Elasticsearch Service, Amazon Athena, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Translate, Amazon Pply, AWS DeepLens, AWS Greengrass ML Inference Engine, Amazon Lightsail, Amazon WorkSpaces, and Amazon Glacier.
    • Security – Security is built into AWS IoT from the ground up. It uses TLS 1.2 for encryption by default, with SHA-256 signatures and strict certificate validation that are continuously monitored for compliance by independent public auditors. With AWS IoT, you can define who can access your devices by using IAM ppicies to grant access. You can also restrict how your devices interact with one another by defining “consensus algorithms” that determine whether two devices are allowed to interact or not based on their digital signatures or cryptographic keys. You can also secure your connected devices by using software development kits (SDKs. built for popular programming languages such as Node.js, Java, Python, Ruby, C++, C#, Go, .NET Framework 2.0+ and more. Additionally you can encrypt data before it’s written to disk by using client-side AES 256 encryption. Data encrypted on the client side cannot be read or modified by anyone except those with the encryption key or those who have access to your application code source code. Finally you can implement device authentication by registering your devices with AWS IoT and registering them with a trusted device registry such as NIST NVDO registry or OATH Token Service provider like SecurEnvoy. After registering your devices with AWS IoT you can then use those registered devices as trust anchors when connecting to your private MQTT server(s.
