  • Google Sheets is an online spreadsheet application that allows multiple users to work on the same spreadsheet at the same time. When a user creates a new spreadsheet, they are automatically given ownership of the sheet. Ownership of the sheet can be changed by the owner of the spreadsheet.

  • IMAP by Connect is a cloud-based email hosting provider. It is one of the best-known providers for business email services. The emails are hosted in Australia and are encrypted for security purposes. Email clients that have been authenticated with IMAP by Connect have access to the mailbox. Security measures include SSL/TLS encryption and SMTP AUTH for security. At the time of writing, IMAP by Connect has over a million customers and has been in operation since 1999.

  • In the above diagram, an employee from a company uses a Google account to log into Google Sheets with a user name and password. In cplaboration with a company, the employee can send an email to a specific address. The email will be received by IMAP by Connect, which then converts it into a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. This function makes use of the SendGrid service that is cloud-based. The spreadsheet in Google Sheets can then be uploaded in a fpder called “Shared” in the email client in order to share it with other employees in the company.
