Step 1. Go to https://adwords.google.com/ and sign in if not logged in already. Then go to the “Accounts and Billing” tab located on the top menu bar of your screen. Make sure you have a Google account before continuing with this step as you will be asked to enter your email address and password during this step. After logging in, you will see a list of all your accounts under “My Accounts” at the left-hand side of your screen. If you don’t have any accounts yet, click on “Create an Account” located on the bottom part of the page to set up a new one for yourself.
Step 2. Create a new account either by clicking on “Create a New Account” located on the top right-hand corner of your screen or by going directly to https://adwords.google.com/select/start/. Select AdWords Product and choose whether you want to “Start now” or “Set up later”. Then click “Next Step” after making your selection.
Step 3. Check the eligibility requirements and then click “I Agree” if you agree with them and continue with the setup process for your new account with AdWords. You will then be asked if you want to let Google match ads for you or whether you want to create and manage your own campaigns and ad groups manually. Choose “No” if you want to manage your ad groups manually as this will allow you to set up your ad groups using your previously selected categories and keywords as well as create custom ad groups as needed. This also makes it easier for you to track the performance of your ad groups as well as make changes as required. However, if you feel that you don’t have enough time or resources to manage your ad groups manually, select “Yes” instead and let Google find ad groups and keywords that fit your budget and marketing goals based on the available information you give them about your business. After making your choice, click “Continue” so you can proceed with setting up your new account with AdWords.
