Klaviyo is a solution that helps me to integrate Amazon CloudWatch with it.Klaviyo is a business solution for e-commerce which helps retailers to send email, SMS and push notifications to their customers. It provides analytics to its users as well. It was founded by Seth and David Driskill in 2011. The headquarters of Klaviyo is located in Denver, Colorado. The current CEO of the company is Michael Manapat (Seth Driskill's brother.In this brief review, I will discuss about the integration of Klaviyo and Amazon CloudWatch.
Amazon CloudWatch is a monitoring tool created by Amazon Web Services to track the usage of its cloud services and keep an eye on the overall health of its servers. CloudWatch allows Amazon Web Services customers to collect and store monitoring metrics like CPU utilization, disk read/write activity, memory usage, etc., from their EC2 instances and other resources. CloudWatch also offers configuration options that allow customers to set automatic scaling rules based on changes in the collected metrics.Cloudwatch collects metrics from all AWS resources such as EC2 instances, Amazon EBS volumes, Elastic Load Balancers, etc.

Amazon CloudWatch can be integrated with Klaviyo using AWS Lambda functions. To integrate these two services, you will have to create an S3 bucket in Amazon S3 service. After that, you have to create a Lambda function in AWS Lambda service with Python 2.7 runtime environment. You will then have to install the required libraries like Boto3 and Requests for Python after which you will have to write a simple Python script to fetch the data using the specified API calls from CloudWatch. Step 1. Signing up for AWS CLI ToolThe first step that you need to take before you can use AWS CLI (Command Line Interface. is signing up for an AWS account if you don't already have one already. If you already have an account then skip this step and move on to Step 2 below. For signing up for an AWS account click here .b. Step 2. Installing AWS CLI ToolAfter signing up for an AWS account, you will receive an email from Amazon Web Services containing details about how you can install the AWS CLI tool on your operating system (Windows/Linux/Mac OS X. Please follow these instructions carefully and install AWsome CLI tool on your machine using the instructions provided in the email from Amazon Web Services .Once you have installed the AWS CLI tool successfully on your machine, open a terminal window/command prompt and type aws –version . This should print out something like "aws-cli/1.11.63 Python/2.7.6 Darwin/16.6.0 botocore/1" . This indicates that your installation of the AWS CLI tool is working fine!c. Step 3. Creating an AWS Account Key PairThe next step that you need to take before you can use the AWS CLI tool is creating an account key pair. An account key pair contains a public key (which can be shared with other people. and a private key (which should be kept confidential at all times. We will use the private key later on to SSH into our EC2 instances running on AWS EC2 service (this requires us to have access to our private keys. So let's go ahead and create an account key pair now. 1. Launch your web browser and navigate to here . 2. Click Create Key Pair button (as shown in Figure 1. 3. On the next page (Figure 2), enter a name for your new key pair (for example "MyKeyPair". and click Continue . 4. On the next page (Figure 3), download the private key by clicking Download Key File button . 5. Save this private key file somewhere on your local machine . 6. Make sure that you copy this private key file into a safe place as anyone who has access to this file will be able to access your EC2 instance(s. running on AWS EC2!d. Step 4. Connecting to Your Account via SSH Using Your Account Key PairNow that we have created our account key pair, let's see how we can connect to our EC2 instances running on EC2 service using this account key pair. 1. Launch your terminal window/command prompt and type ssh -i "path_to_account_key_file" [email protected]_ec2_instance_public_ip_address . 2. Enter your password when prompted . If everything goes well then you should see something like Figure 4 below: Voila! Now we have successfully connected to our EC2 instance via SSH using our account key pair! Notice that there are no prompts for passwords in Figure 4 above because we are logging in as ec2-user using our account key pair!e. Step 5.
