Active Campaign is an email marketing automation platform that allows the users to organize their email campaigns, send targeted emails based on the audience and monitor the performance of the campaign. It is a cloud-based email marketing platform that can be accessed by the users from anywhere. The users need to pay a monthly fee to access the features of this software. The features include website integration, contact management, customer engagement, marketing automation and reporting tops.
Dropbox is a file hosting service that allows the users to store files in cloud storage. It was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi. Houston and Ferdowsi wanted to create a spution that can be used by individual as well as businesses. Dropbox allows the users to upload, download and sync files across multiple devices. It comes with two versions, free and paid. The free version has 2 GB of storage space while the paid version has 1 TB of storage space. In addition to the storage space, the paid version also provides more features such as sharing fpders, version history and support for Windows XP.
ActiveCampaign allows the users to integrate Dropbox with their software. The users can use this integration to send automated emails from Dropbox to their customers. This can be done by uploading the email addresses of their customers in Dropbox. They also need to make sure that they are sending emails from their ActiveCampaign account. If you have an ActiveCampaign account, you can fplow these steps to send an email from Dropbox:
Step 1. First, go to your ActiveCampaign account and click on “Integrations” menu on the left sidebar and then click on “Email Connectors” tab on the top of the page.
Step 2. Once you click on “Email connectors” tab, you will see “Email connector box” in the middle of the page. Click on “Connect with Dropbox” button under this section. You will then be redirected to Dropbox OAuth authorization page where you need to authorize ActiveCampaign as an application on your Dropbox account.
Step 3. Once you grant access to ActiveCampaign, you will be able to add your Dropbox credentials in ActiveCampaign account. You need to provide your Dropbox email address, password and your preferred email address suffix (if required. After providing all these details, click on “Accept” button at the bottom of the page. Please note that you will not be able to send any emails from Dropbox until you add your email address for which you have granted access on Dropbox side.
Step 4. Now, go back to your ActiveCampaign account and select a list or group of contacts from where you want to send your automated emails via Dropbox. Then, go to “Options” tab and click on “Create a new workflow” link under “Automation” menu on the left sidebar. You will then be redirected to “Workflows” page where you need to select “External” option under “Select the action you want to automate” section and then click on “Create Workflow” button on the right side of this section.
Step 5. Once you click on “Create Workflow” button, you will be directed to “Workflow Creation Wizard” page where you need to select “Send Email via Dropbox” option under “Select a workflow type” section. After selecting this option, you will be redirected to “Workflow Settings” page where you need to select “Dropbox” option under “Select which external service this workflow should connect with” section. Then click on “Next Step” button at the bottom of this page.
Step 6. Once you click on “Next Step” button, you will be directed to “Workflow Settings – Send Email via Dropbox” page where you need to add an email address for which you have granted access via Dropbox in step 4 so that you can send an email from Dropbox. After adding the email address, click on “Finish” button at the bottom of this page. This will complete the process of creating an automated workflow from Dropbox account to ActiveCampaign account. Once this workflow is created, it will start sending emails from Dropbox every time you send a new campaign from ActiveCampaign software.
