Appy Pie LLC, Appy Pie Ltd & Appy Pie LLP collectively called (“Appy Pie”) operates several websites including appypie.com (the “Websites”), as well as a number of mobile applications on behalf of our customers (collectively, the “Applications”). It is Appy Pie’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our Websites and Applications.
This Policy describes how Appy Pie collects, uses, shares, and secures the personal information you provide. It also describes your choices regarding the use, access, and correction of your personal information.
Your privacy is critically important to us. At Appy Pie we have a few fundamental principles:
We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)
We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights. We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services. In our social networking and mobile application products, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what’s visible to the public, seen by search engines, kept private, and permanently deleted.
EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield
Appy Pie participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. We are committed to subjecting all personal data received from European Union (EU) member countries and Switzerland, respectively, in reliance on each Privacy Shield Framework, to the Framework’s applicable Principles. Appy Pie is responsible for processing of the personal data it receives under each Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Appy Pie complies with the Privacy Shield principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU and Switzerland, including the onward transfer liability provisions.
With respect to the personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, Appy Pie is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. In certain situations, we may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities for instance, meeting national security or law enforcement requirements.

Under certain conditions (described in detail on the Privacy Shield website  you may be entitled to invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, the files viewed on our site (e.g. HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site.

Aggregated Personal Data: In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Appy Pie Services, Appy Pie often conducts research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis. This aggregate information does not identify you personally and is not considered to be personal information.
We will keep any information that you provide to us until such time as you delete your account with the Appy Pie Service.
How Do We Use Your Personal Data and Other Information
Appy Pie won't sell or rent your personal information to a third party. Primarily, we use personal data to run Appy Pie. We may use personal data to provide you with predictions about other services you might be interested in on Appy Pie. If we intend to use your personal data in a way we have not mentioned, we will let you know when we collect that information.
Sometimes we aggregate user data anonymously to understand our customer base better.
How Do We Share Your Personal Data and Other Information
We don't sell your personal data. If we sell the company, personal data may be included in the transfer.
You can visit the Services without providing any Personal Data. If you choose not to provide any Personal Data, you may not be able to use certain Appy Pie Services.
Appy Pie is not in the business of selling your information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:
Business Transfers: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets. In cases of onward transfer of personal information to third parties of data of EU and Swiss individuals received pursuant to the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield, Appy Pie remains liable.
Agents, Consultants and Related Third Parties: Appy Pie, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions include mailing information, maintaining databases and processing payments. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.
Legal Requirements: Appy Pie may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Appy Pie, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.
When you download, install and use our Mobile Applications, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use, operating system version, and the device identifier (or “UDID”).
We send you push notifications from time-to-time in order to update you about any events or promotions that we may be running. If you no longer wish to receive these types of communications, you may turn them off at the device level. To ensure that you receive appropriate notifications, we will need to collect certain information about your device such as operating system and user identification information.
We collect your location-based information for the purpose of locating a place that you may be searching for, in your area. We will only share this information with our mapping provider for the sole purpose of providing you this service.
You may opt-out of location-based services at any time by changing the setting at the device level.
We use Analytics to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Mobile Application on your mobile or handheld device. This Mobile Application may record information such as how often you use the Mobile Application, the events that occur within the Mobile Application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the Mobile Application was downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the Mobile Application.
Links to Third Party Sites
Our Websites contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by Appy Pie. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other such websites or third parties. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Websites and to read the privacy policies of each and every website that collects personal information.
We post customer testimonials/comments/reviews on our Websites, which may contain personal information. Prior to posting the testimonial, we obtain the customer’s consent to post their name along with their testimonial.
We collect analytics information when you use Appy Pie’s Websites to help us improve them. Appy Pie may also share data about your actions on our Websites with third-party service providers of analytics services.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and after it is received. Children’s Personal Information
Appy Pie doest not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16, please do not submit any personal information through our Websites or Apps. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information through the Websites or Apps without their permission.
