Zoho Subscriptions and Zoho Writer Integration Guide
Zoho Subscriptions is a subscription based service that allows you to create a subscription service for your customers to access your services on a recurring basis. Zoho Writer is a web-based word processing program. It allows you to create documents online using the cloud. The integration of these two products provides businesses an opportunity to start a subscription based service and also provide a platform for subscribers to submit and manage document submissions.
Integration Process:
First, we will need to create a new subscription in Zoho Subscriptions. Once we have created the subscription we then need to add a product for Zoho Writer. This will be the product that our subscribers will be paying for. Once we have added the product we can then go ahead and configure the subscription so that it is activated and ready for use. Finally, we will need to save the subscription and activate the product so that we can test out our new set up!
Go to Subscriptions > Add New Subscription. This will take us to the Create new subscription page. Here we can give our subscription a name and description. We can choose whether we want to charge by card or PayPal. We can set an auto-renewal date and define when our subscription will come back to us if canceled. We can also define under which users the subscription should be visible and who has access to edit subscriptions. After this, we can add additional details such as pricing, credits needed per month, etc. When we are done setting up our subscription, click save to complete this process. This will take us to our new subscription page where we can see all of the information that we have entered about our subscription. Our next step is to add a product for Zoho Writer.
Go back to Subscriptions > Products > Add New Product. This will take us to the Add New Product page where we can define our product name, description, price, and package options. You can also define whether this product will be available for free trial or not, if it has discounts or not, etc. Once you are done setting up your product, click save to complete this process. This will take us back to our list of products where we can see all of the information that we have entered about our product. Now that we have both our subscription and product complete, let’s configure them so that they are ready to use!
To configure our subscription, go back to Subscriptions > All Products > Select Your Product > Configure Product Settings . This will take us to our configuration page where we can define which email template should be used for this product, which plan should be associated with it, etc. After this is done, click save to complete this process. This will bring us back to our list of products where we can see all of the information that we have entered about our product. Now let’s go ahead and configure the product so that it is ready for use!
To configure our product, go back to Subscriptions > All Products > Select Your Product > Configure Product Settings . On this page, we can define if there is an expiration date for this product (if there isn’t one already), what should happen when this product expires, how often it should be billed, etc. After this is done, click save to complete this process. This will take us back to our list of products where we can see all of the information that we have entered about our product. Now that both of these steps are done lets test out our integration!
Go back into our subscription page by going to Subscriptions > All Products > Select Your Product > Details . From here we can select Test Payment Button . This will simulate a payment through PayPal which will allow us to test out our new setup without actually charging customers any money! After clicking on Test Payment Button , if everything went well you should be able to see a message saying “Subscription successfully created”! This means that everything went well with our setup and now we can begin testing it out!
