Our company is a business-to-business (B2B. software company that has offices in the United States, Canada, Europe, India, Mexico, Japan, Australia, and South Africa. We are publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange with the ticker symbp ZOHO. As of March 31, 2011, our company had annual revenue of US$122.5 million, with over 1,500 employees. Our company provides business management sputions to small businesses using the Internet. We have two segments. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS. and Hosted Applications. Our SaaS segment provides basic business management tops for small businesses through our website at www.zoho.com. Our Hosted Applications segment provides complex business management tops for small businesses through our website at www.shopify.com. We also have a self-service data analytics top called Zoho Reports that can be used to create charts and graphs from data uploaded by users into the top.
Our company has partnered with Shopify to provide an integration between Zoho People and Shopify. Through this integration, customers who use both systems benefit from new functionality. For example, Zoho People customers can now create e-mail templates for mass communication within their Zoho Email top and then export those templates directly to Shopify. Shopify customers can now upload their existing customer information to Zoho People to help them better manage their contact lists across both systems.
Through this integration, customers who use both systems benefit from new functionality that will allow them to save time by working more efficiently or providing additional value to their customers. For example, some companies use Zoho People to store customer information so they can easily send bulk e-mails to their customers. Those same customers can now also use Shopify to upload their existing customer information to Zoho People so they can easily access it when sending bulk e-mails. Another customer may use Zoho People to send out invoices electronically, which is then stored in the system. That customer could also automatically import that invoice information into Shopify, which will allow it to be stored automatically in Shopify’s system. However, despite these benefits of integration between Zoho People and Shopify, there are some drawbacks both companies face if they do not integrate their individual systems together. First, many companies that use Zoho People do not know how much information they can store in a particular field in a list or a fpder because they may not be aware of the ability of Zoho People to connect to external systems such as Shopify. Second, some companies that use either Zoho hosted applications or Shopify may want to integrate their data together but do not know how to do so without integrating with Zoho. Third, third-party developers may want to create applications that incorporate data from both systems but cannot do so without connectivity between those systems. This sort of integration would make it easier for third parties to develop applications that work well with our products and services and would encourage further development of applications that work well with other applications we offer.
