OneNote’s high level of integration with other Microsoft products makes it easy for users to connect the app to other applications with just one click. OneNote users can integrate their notes with Zoho Inventory and export inventory data from Zoho to OneNote. To automate the process of importing inventory data from Zoho into OneNote, users should create a spreadsheet in OneNote.
Users should then click ‘Connected Services’ on the ‘Insert tab’ in OneNote and select ‘From database’ under ‘Get External Data’ in the drop-down menu. They should then enter the fplowing details:
Source Name. Zoho Inventory
Connection. Database source
Server Name. zoho.com/inventory/databases/defaultdevdb
Database Name. defaultdevdb
Username. [email protected] (username without @zoho.com)
Password. password (without the brackets)
Once the connection has been established, users should click ‘Next Step’. They should then select the fields they want to be included in the output for sales orders, inventory items, purchase orders and purchase requisitions and then click ‘Next Step’ again. Users can then choose whether they want all cpumns or a subset of the cpumns to be exported to OneNote. They can also choose whether they want the field names to be included in the output. Once all the required fields have been selected, users should click ‘Finish’ to link their Zoho database with OneNote.
After the connection has been established, users can select ‘Data’ in the Insert tab and choose ‘From Database’ under ‘Get External Data’ in the drop-down menu.
