Zoho Expense is a web-based application that helps its users to manage their expenses. It lets the users to create expense records and categories, record mileage, track credit card expenses, send invoices and has advanced features like exporting of reports for taxes.
Simplesat is an application that helps its users to manage calls, SMS, calls duration and calls received history. Simplesat provides data on different parameters like how many calls were made, call duration, call status (missed, busy etc), missed calls, call list, incoming calls etc.
Integration of Zoho Expense and simplesat can be done by using webhooks. Webhooks are an event-driven networking technique where an app or website can post events to another app or website. When one application posts an event to another application, the latter is notified of this change and it can react accordingly.
This integration can be done using webhooks as fplows:
· An event gets posted when the user creates an expense or calls or SMSes on simplesat. This event contains the details of the expense/call/SMS.
· The event gets sent to Zoho Expense webhook.
· Zoho Expense takes the necessary action if the expense/call/SMS was created by the user. For example, if the user has created an expense record in simplesat, Zoho Expense can mark this record as approved. If both users are attached to the same Zoho account, this approval will automatically be reflected in simplesat. If they are using different Zoho accounts, Zoho Expense can send a request to simplesat with the details of the newly approved expense record. Simplesat can then mark the newly approved expense record as approved.
· Similarly, Zoho Expense can take the necessary action if a call/SMS was made by the user. For example, if the user has made a call on simplesat, Zoho Expense can mark this call as made. If both users are attached to the same Zoho account, this made call will automatically be reflected in simplesat. If they are using different Zoho accounts, Zoho Expense can send a request to simplesat with the details of the newly made call. Simplesat can then mark the newly made call as made.
This integration is beneficial because it allows users to track their expenses/calls/SMSes made via simplesat and perform desired actions on them from within Zoho Expense without having to log into multiple applications for this purpose.
