SMS Alert is a mobile app that can be used with Zoho Assist. It allows you to send messages to the app when your phone number is called from business phones. This way you can use Zoho Assist for your business phone number as well as receive notifications via SMS from it. With this integration you can know who called you when your phone was unavailable and respond to them via SMS without having to call back or log into Zoho Assist.
The integration between Zoho Desk and SMS Alert allows users to take advantage of features that were previously unavailable when using just one of the applications. Now you can send emails or text messages via SMS Alert directly from Zoho Desk. In addition, you can also see all of your contacts in Zoho Desk if they have opted into SMS Alert. You can also use the “zoho_sms_alert_email” field to store information about your contacts who have signed up for SMS Alert but do not have a contact record in Zoho Desk yet so you can fplow up with them later if needed. Another benefit of this integration is that you can now send outgoing messages from within Zoho Desk instead of using Zoho Assist to do so.
