Xero and Thinkific are complementary:
Xero is excellent for managing financials, Thinkific is excellent for delivering educational content. The two are thus a very natural fit.
The best practice would be to integrate the products at the back end. This would mean that if one was using both, the data would be stored on both platforms, but only accessed via the single login. (It would also mean that there would be no duplication of accounts, as well as only having to pay one subscription fee.. The second best practice would be to integrate the products at the front end. This would mean that users can access Thinkific directly from within their Xero account, with no need to log in to an additional page. The third best practice would be to have a ‘bridge’ product that links the two platforms. This would mean that the data could be accessed via an app, but there would still be two separate accounts and fees. As this is less than ideal, it should only be used as a last resort if no other option is available.
If there was integration between the two platforms, I would save time as I wouldn’t have to log in to multiple accounts or fill out multiple forms. I would save money as I would only have to pay one subscription fee for Thinkific and Xero if they were integrated. I could also access all of my course data via one platform (instead of searching multiple sites.
