Integration of WordPress and Twilio

WordPress has many plugins that integrate with other services. One of those services is Twilio. There are several plugins that provide integration between these two platforms:

  • WPML. This plugin allows users to translate its blog posts into different languages. It uses Twilio to send SMS notifications to each visitor who views the translated posts.
  • MailChimp. This plugin allows users to send newsletters through email. It integrates Twilio to send out email notifications to new subscribers.
  • FeedBurner. This plugin allows users to have their RSS feeds sent to their email. It uses Twilio to send out email notifications to users when there are new articles in their feed.
  • Paypal. This plugin allows users to accept payment via PayPal. It integrates Twilio to send out SMS notifications with the total amount due upon purchase.
  • Product Cart. This plugin allows users to create shopping carts for selling their products. It integrates Twilio to send out SMS notifications with a link for shipping details.
  • ConvertKit. This plugin allows users to convert their visitors into subscribers at a specific rate. It integrates Twilio to send out SMS notifications with the percentage of conversion at the end of the week.
  • Help Scout. This plugin allows users to send incoming support requests to their [email protected] address for handling by their team members. It integrates Twilio to send out SMS notifications with the ticket number and the customer’s name and email address upon creation of a ticket.
  • Desk. This plugin allows users to manage their support desks from within their WordPress dashboard. It sends out SMS notifications with ticket updates as well as messages for new tickets as they come in.
  • Pusher. This plugin allows users to send realtime notifications through Pusher whenever there are new posts in the site. It sets up Pusher channels for each post so that it can send out push notifications through Pusher for each new post when there are new comments or likes on that particular post.
  • Notify My Android. This plugin allows users to receive notifications on their Android devices whenever there are new posts in the site. It integrates not just with Pusher but also with Twilio, so it sends notifications through both of those channels whenever there are new posts in the site.
  • Other Similar Plugins. There are other plugins that integrate Twilio but are not listed here. These include. The Events Calendar, WooCommerce, Ppldaddy, and Ninja Forms (which doesn’t actually use Twilio but integrates it for sending out SMS notifications. All these plugins allow users to integrate Twilio with their sites/blogs/platforms for sending out SMS notifications upon events such as registration for an event or purchase of a product or service or notification of a comment/like on a post or a change in status of an order upon checkout or a reminder about something due in 5 minutes or someone leaving a comment on your blog post or whatever other events you can think of that trigger SMS notifications!
