Integration of and Thinkific is a platform which enables the hosting of websites, domains and email accounts for small businesses, freelancers or even individuals. It is an alternative to more costly hosting platforms such as GoDaddy. The integration of with Thinkific, a Software as a Service (SaaS. provider that offers training courses, allows for the creation of online courses that are hosted on Thinkific. was founded in San Francisco back in 2009 by two former Stanford students, Faisal Abid and Azeem Makhdoomi. It was named after the California woodpecker, who has a powerful beak that can peck into hard wood and extract insects. This imagery is appropriate to the nature of the business. it is a top used to extract and deliver web content and services. provides a number of support services for small businesses, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), e-commerce sputions, domain hosting and e-mail management. It also enables users to launch their own websites, blogs and other web resources within minutes, without having to know any programming languages such as HTML or CSS.

The system is designed to be easy to use, even for people who may not have any experience in creating websites or websites. For example, if an instructor wishes to copy text from an article authored by one of his students onto the course website hosted by, he can simply copy it from his WordPress blog hosted on into his Thinkific course automatically without having to do any manual copying or formatting himself because both platforms support Markdown formatting syntax which allows text content to be copied verbatim across platforms without needing to manually reformat things first (unlike regular HTML formatting syntax which requires manual reformatting.

For students who are enrpled in courses using either platform separately, this integration allows them to easily access both services simultaneously without having to log into each one separately or switching between accounts regularly for different tasks. However, students will find it difficult if they try to switch between different accounts rapidly because Thinkific’s login page does not allow multiple accounts at once (in order to prevent abuse. while Woodpecker’s login page does (in order to make it easier for students who regularly switch between different accounts during different times of day. As such, students should always make sure that they log out of all accounts before logging out of Thinkific University (or vice versa. because logging out means closing down your browser entirely which means losing all login information associated with your account (unless you regularly save it locally on your computer.
