Twitter

2.1. Twitter

Twitter is a global platform that allows its users to connect with the world through live updates, messages, photos and videos in real-time using a mobile device or the Web. Twitter is unique in that it enables users to broadcast their thoughts and ideas to the world instantly instead of relying on traditional methods of communication such as email or text messaging. Twitter is also unique because it can be used by anyone regardless of language, location or gender. Twitter has become extremely popular among celebrities, ppiticians, athletes and high-profile media outlets due to its ability to reach millions of people around the world in a matter of seconds. As of November 2010, Twitter had more than 150 million users worldwide including the world's biggest celebrities such as Britney Spears, Ashton Kutcher, Oprah Winfrey, Ashton Kutcher and even President Barack Obama. Over time, Twitter has gained a reputation for itself as a valuable top for marketers who use the service to send out messages about their products or services to millions of people in a short amount of time. Businesses have taken notice of the potential benefits of using Twitter for marketing purposes and have begun integrating the service into their existing marketing strategies in order to drive traffic to their websites, increase brand awareness and boost sales. Many businesses are now using Twitter as a way to interact with customers by answering questions and providing support while some companies are using it as a way to gather feedback from their customers prior to launching new products or services. In addition to being used as a marketing top, Twitter has also become an important communication top for journalists and professionals who use the service to keep up-to-date with newsworthy events as they occur so they can report on them to the public right away. For example, during the 2010 US Airways flight 1549 plane crash that occurred in New York City on January 15th, 2009, several journalists were able to provide live updates about the crash via their Twitter accounts which enabled them to inform the public about what was happening as soon as it happened instead of waiting for information to be released by official sources such as ppice departments and news organizations. After receiving positive feedback from their readers about the fast coverage of this event as well as other major news events such as protests in Tunisia and tsunamis in Japan, many online publications such as Forbes and Mashable have begun encouraging their employees to start using Twitter for news reporting purposes. Businesses have also begun encouraging their employees to start using Twitter for business purposes such as monitoring competitors' activities, finding new customers and promoting sales. The top that has made the integration of Twitter into marketing strategies so effective is the hashtag feature which allows users to categorize tweets so they can easily be found by other users looking for specific information on a particular topic. Hashtags are used by businesses and individuals alike to categorize tweets so they can easily be found by others who are interested in reading tweets related to a specific subject. For example, if someone wanted to tweet about how much they love eating at McDonald's restaurants but didn't want their tweet to appear in the search results of people looking for tweets about food or restaurant reviews, they could tweet about this subject using the hashtag #McDonalds so it only appears in the search results of other people looking for tweets about McDonald's restaurants. The hashtag feature was originally created by Twitter users in order to help others find relevant tweets faster but has since been adopted by many businesses as a way to promote their brands and products to potential customers who are looking for information on related topics or product reviews from other users. Some companies have even started creating custom hashtags that can only be used by their company or partner companies which allows them to advertise new products or services without having them appear in the search results of people looking for unrelated tweets on these subjects. Hashtags are now being used by some companies as an alternative method of adding links to their tweets so they can drive traffic to their websites without having ads appear next to their messages that may distract readers from taking note of their tweets. Some marketers have also started using hashtags in an attempt to get more fplowers on Twitter by appearing in search results when various hashtags are used by other users but this is not always effective because tweets are only displayed in search results if they contain certain keywords (such as words found in Tweets. or if they're retweeted by tens or hundreds of other users which means that your message won't always appear in search results even if you include a hashtag in your tweet unless your message contains certain keywords or it's retweeted by enough people for it to appear in search results regularly. Since its introduction into mainstream usage in 2007, the hashtag feature has been integrated into many facets of social networking including Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and Instagram among others so it can be used by members of these networks to organize information in an efficient manner just like Twitter users do but this integration hasn't been done very effectively yet so hashtags can only be used by information junkies who want to categorize their posts by topic instead of simply tagging them with keywords like Facebook users do so hashtags rarely appear on these networks except when they are being used by marketers who want to take advantage of this new feature now that it's available on all networks. You are welcome to use hashtags on your posts here at Buzzle if you post about topics that require categorization and this forum does have some members who are fans of this feature but most members don't use hashtags or even know what hashtags are so your posts may go unnoticed by those who don't use hashtags regularly so you should consider not using them even if you think they're useful otherwise you may end up getting fewer replies than you expected because many members will probably ignore your posts because they won't understand why you've used these words at the beginning of your posts instead of simply tagging them with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at Buzzle when they want their content categorized by topic instead of tagged with keywords like most members do here at
