Microsoft and Tumblr have both come out with a new integration that allows users to create, post, and share content from their blogs directly to their Outlook inbox. The two companies first announced the connection in March, and it went live on Monday. According to an email from a Microsoft spokesperson, the integration is a “powerful new way to connect people to what matters most to them.” In other words, it makes sharing content easier and more convenient. The invpved parties are hopeful that the integration will be a success; it will benefit all users by making it easy for them to share content with the people they want to share it with.
This new integration makes it possible for users to work with multiple social networks at once. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have already integrated themselves into other types of programs, such as Microsoft Office Word, so this isn’t too surprising. It does make things easier for users who want to share content on multiple platforms at once, however. They don’t need to go back and forth between different programs; they can simply do it all from one place. Then, when they post something on Tumblr, it goes straight to their Outlook inbox.
If you create a Tumblr blog and connect it with your Microsoft Outlook account, you will be able to share content from your blog with your friends and co-workers without having to leave your inbox. Users can still share information via email or text message or whatever other method they want, but this new integration will make things even easier for them. As long as they have an Outlook account, they can now share content straight from their blog in just seconds.
