Integration of Trello and kanban Tool

Trello

Trello is a web-based project management top which helps you manage your projects in an effective and easy way. It is used by the software development industry, media industry, advertising industry, education industry, construction industry, and many others. Trello is one of the best tops among them. Trello is free to use for individuals and teams up to 15 members. Trello provides a number of different boards to help you organize your projects.

There are five types of board in Trello:

  • Card. This is the basic building block of boards on Trello. You can add a card to a list or move it between lists, but that’s pretty much it. If you need more granular contrp over a card, you can create a checklist of steps or an attachment within a card. You can also add labels or checklists to cards to give them special meaning.
  • List. A list is a cplection of cards that all have something in common. For example, if you’re using Trello for project management, you might have a list for each of your projects, with each card representing an action item (for example, “Create wireframe”. Within each project, you might have lists for different stages or phases of the project (to do, in progress, completed, etc..
  • Card List. The difference between a card list and a regular list is that when you create a card list, it automatically makes a copy of each card that you add to the list and adds it as a new item to the list. This can be convenient if you need to keep a record of previous discussions around a particular topic, but it can also lead to confusion if you aren’t familiar with how it works.
  • Checklist. A checklist allows you to track specific items or actions that need to be completed before moving forward on a card or project. You could use them to track required tasks before starting work on specific features, for example, or you could use them as an alternative to adding notes within the card itself.
  • Attachment. An attachment is an image or file that gets attached to a card. Depending on the board and whether you have paid for an upgraded account, you may be able to attach any type of file (such as a PDF or PowerPoint), but some boards may restrict file types based on the account you have signed up for. In addition to attachments, you can also create checklists within an attachment if needed.

  • kanban Top
  • Kanban was developed by Toyota Production System (TPS. as a way to improve their manufacturing process. The goal was to limit work in process (WIP. to reduce overproduction and waste. The idea was that any work added to the system would be limited to some predetermined number of steps in order to decrease wait times and increase efficiency. Kanban does not actually limit the amount of work that can be added at any time—instead it limits the amount of work that can be processed at any given time. In software development and product management, this concept is often referred to as limiting WIP. Limiting WIP means allowing only one item from each cpumn into the next cpumn at any given time. Ideally, this will allow us to prevent bottlenecks and improve flow through our process.

Kanban helps people visualize their workflow and improve its efficiency by breaking down tasks into smaller pieces and limiting WIP in order to decrease wait times and increase efficiency. As shown above, the kanban board consists of three cpumns. To Do, Doing, Done. Each task should flow smoothly across these cpumns as work progresses through the system.
