How Teachable & TimeCamp Integrations Work

Integration of Teachable and TimeCamp

Teachable is a platform for web-based development and deployment of educational courses. TimeCamp is a time tracking web-based application that allows businesses to assign tasks and monitor progress. Integration of these two applications will allow the institutions to track and manage the time spent by students on educational activities. lessons, lectures and exercises.

Teachable and TimeCamp integration will be beneficial to both students and teachers as they will be able to use one platform for tracking and managing time spent on educational activities. Teachers will save time as they don’t have to manually input the time spent by students on their assignments or projects. Students will also benefit as they can track their time spent on educational activities and analyze what areas need improvement.

Integration of Teachable and TimeCamp

The integration of Teachable and TimeCamp will be done using API integration. The integration between Teachable and TimeCamp is discussed in the fplowing sections:

  • Teachable API Integration with TimeCamp

Teachable provides support for TimeCamp through its API. Through this integration, users can track time they spend on their projects or homework assignments through TimeCamp, which tracks time based on the tasks added by the teacher during the creation of an assignment or project. When a user logs into Teachable, a popup will appear where he can select a project or assignment from his list of projects/assignments, the task he wants to track and then click on “Add Time” button to add a TimeCamp task to a project or a homework assignment created by a teacher. After adding a task, the user can keep track of his progress via TimeCamp.

  • Integration of Teachable with TimeCamp for Teachers

Teachers can integrate Teachable with TimeCamp to view the progress of their students with regard to their assigned projects or homework assignments. To do so, the teacher needs to log into Teachable and create a course under his account. The teacher can then go to “Assignments” option from “Teach” option present in the left-hand side menu. From there, the teacher can enter a title for a new assignment or a project that he is going to give to his students. After entering the title, the teacher can select “Create Assignment” from the right-hand side menu. Once he clicks on it, a pop-up window will open where he will be able to enter details about the assignment or project such as due date, file type, grading type, etc. He can then assign students or teams for this assignment or project and then click on “Create Assignment” button to finalize the selection of students/teams and save it. After creating an assignment, the teacher can enter individual tasks (and their duration. within the project and assign these tasks to individual students or teams. This way, when a student logs into Teachable, he can see all his tasks along with their durations and status (under process.

  • Integration of Teachable with TimeCamp for Students

Students can integrate Teachable with TimeCamp for tracking their time spent on educational related tasks such as projects and assignments given by their teachers. Students can do so by logging into Teachable and then accessing their profile from “Student’s Profile” link present in the left-hand side menu. From there, students can go to “My Projects” section and select an assignment or project that they have been given by their teacher. They can then add tasks related to the assignment or project and start tracking their time spent on each task of an assignment or project via TimeCamp. However, students cannot see tasks added by other students under this integration.
