Two of the most important management tops used by organizations nowadays is Tableau and Zoho People. These two management softwares are being used for increasing the organizational efficiency in terms of managerial activities, employee efficiency and employee satisfaction; however, there is no information regarding their integration. This paper will serve the purpose to integrate these two softwares.
Tableau is a software top which helps you visualize and explore your data in a simple way. It is used in business organizations and other companies to save time and effort by analyzing and presenting data. Tableau is used for making dashboards and visualizing data from different sources (Tableau, 2016. The data can be edited, filtered, and moved around the screen for better understanding. It also works on a web browser. Tableau allows users to create any visualizations for their data using drag and drop features. As shown in the Figure 1 below, Tableau has three main menu tabs. Explore, Data, and Presentation.

Zoho People is an online HRM that is used by organizations to manage their employees easily (Zoho People, 2016. Zoho People offers different features for managing managers. These features include, email integration (which allows employees to send emails to their managers), contact manager to arrange meetings with employees, performance review which is used to track employees’ performance, leave management which is used to grant leaves to employees and much more.
Figure 2 shows the navigation bar of Zoho People (Zoho People, 2016. The administrator can use the navigation bar to access all the features of Zoho People.

The aim of integrating Tableau and Zoho People is to save time and effort by linking data from Tableau with data from Zoho People. In this article, the author will illustrate the procedure for integrating Tableau with Zoho People. Also, it will show how we can link these two softwares together in order to have an efficient and effective system for managing employees.
Let us assume that we have a table named Employees in Zoho People containing employee information including name, department, designation, employee number, email id, salary etc. We also have a table named Employee Data in Tableau containing employee information including employee number, name, department, designation etc. To integrate these two softwares we need to fplow these steps:
Step 1. Go to your Zoho People account and click on Settings option in the top menu bar as shown in figure 3 below.
