Square is a payment processing service that allows customers to pay with their mobile devices. Square allows merchants to accept credit cards, debit cards, and checks. It also features invoicing and inventory management.
Constant Contact is an email marketing company that offers web-based tops for small businesses. Constant Contact’s services include email creation, scheduling, delivery and tracking.
Square and Constant Contact are both excellent services that offer many advantages to their users. One of the most obvious advantages of these two companies is their ease of use. Both services are extremely user friendly, making it easy for beginners to use them. Square provides a simple setup process and Constant Contact has a very intuitive interface, which makes it easy for both experienced and inexperienced users to discover how to use the service. For example, both Square and Constant Contact allow users to send emails using their account. The steps are very similar; however they are laid out in a much more organized manner on Constant Contact. This is one of the most significant benefits of the integration of Square and Constant Contact because it is extremely helpful for those unfamiliar with the services. Another advantage of the integration of Square and Constant Contact is that it makes the entire process of running a business easier. With both products, users don’t have to worry about whether or not their money will be accepted or if they will have access to an invoice after sending an email. This eliminates some of the tedious work invpved in making payments and creating invoices. However, integrating Square and Constant Contact has also created certain disadvantages for both services. Square no longer allows users to send invoices unless they use the Square Invoices app while Constant Contact only allows users to send out one email per month. Another disadvantage of the integration of Square and Constant Contact is that both companies have limitations on how many people can be on one account at once. Both companies say users can have up to 10 businesses but this depends on how many businesses each individual merchant wants on his or her account. For example, if a merchant has 5 businesses on Square then he or she cannot have any additional businesses on Square nor can they add other accounts. In terms of customer service, each company had its own set of issues. It took a lot longer to get a response from Square when I had questions about my account compared to getting a response from Constant Contact when I had questions about my account. However, the customer service for Constant Contact was not as good as I expected because it was not very personalized; I received generic answers every time I asked a question. However, the customer service for Square was better than expected because I got very specific answers from professionals who were familiar with the product.
Overall, I think the integration between Square and Constant Contact has provided significant benefits for both companies, but it has also caused both companies to gain some disadvantages as well. I think that all of the advantages and disadvantages listed above can be respved in future updates so that the overall integration of both products will be beneficial in the long run.
