SMTP by Connect integrates with Autotask. It does this through the use of Autotask’s API’s. This allows a business that uses both SMTP by Connect and Autotask to automate tasks within each program. When a project is created in Autotask, it automatically creates an email template in SMTP by Connect. The same goes when a customer interacts with an account in Autotask. A new activity or opportunity can be created in SMTP by Connect. In addition, the two programs can be linked through the use of Autotask’s API’s. This allows data from SMTP by Connect to be used in Autotask and vice versa. This integration will allow businesses to save time and money while increasing efficiency and profitability. Both programs are mission critical to the success of any business. However, they also pose several issues when used independently of one another. For instance, if a customer emails a company that uses Autotask, then the customer would not be able to receive a response because that company does not use SMTP by Connect. If the company had used SMTP by Connect, then the customer would have been able to receive an automated response based on criteria set previously by the company.
