Simplesat is an open source satellite tracking software. The topkit has a command line interface and allows the user to create a schedule for the observation of each satellite. It also supports any type of radio receiver which can be connected to the computer through a serial port or the USB port. The topkit’s current version is its first stable release, which was made available for download on July 2013. The command line application is found in the source code distribution package. The source code is written in C++ and the compilation uses CMake as a build system.
