Shipwire can be integrated with Amazon SQS through the use of two web services offered by Amazon called Simple Queue Service (SQS. and Simple Notification Service (SNS. The integration will work as fplows:
Step 1. A new order is placed on Shipwire website and it sends a message through SNS to an SQS queue.
Step 2. An SQS queue triggers another event that is sent through SNS to a SNS topic.
Step 3. The SNS topic publishes messages across multiple channels, so it can be consumed by various components of Shipwire.
Step 4. Shipwire will process the order and send it out to fulfillment center through FBA(Fulfillment by Amazon.
Step 5. After the product shipped, Shipwire sends an order status update to an SQS queue via SNS.
Step 6. The SQS queue triggers an event that is sent through SNS to a SNS topic.
Step 7. The SNS topic publishes messages across multiple channels, so it can be consumed by various components of Shipwire.
Step 8. Shipwire updates the inventory level of the product in the warehouse when the product arrived at the fulfillment center.
