Integration of Shippo and Braintree

We will take the example of Paypal’s integration of Shippo and Braintree. Paypal is a payment gateway which allows customers to make payments by using the fplowing:

Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.)

For orders that are paid for using PayPal, Paypal will send an API call to Shippo to get the shipment details of the order. As per the API call, Shippo will send a reply to Paypal with all the details of the shipment such as the tracking number, carrier information, cost of shipping and other expenses. This way Paypal gets all the relevant information of the shipment from Shippo. When the shipment is delivered to the customer, a notification will be received by Shippo. Shippo will then send a request to Paypal with all the relevant information such as status of the shipment delivery, tracking number of the shipping carrier etc. This way Paypal will be able to keep track on its shipments after they are delivered to the end users. Paypal will be able to verify whether or not the shipment was delivered successfully. If there is any discrepancy regarding the shipment delivery then the customer can open a dispute through PayPal regarding the same. The customer can contact either the merchant or Paypal to respve this issue. This way both Paypal and merchant can work together to respve any issues regarding the customer’s orders and reduce complaints filed by them which leads to better satisfaction ratings among customers. This way both Paypal and Shippo are integrated so that they can work together to deliver an excellent customer experience.
