Chapter 19
Final Essay Checklist
So, you have finished working on your article. Now what Do not submit it to the professor yet, you still have some more things to do before you can submit it. Here are some tips to make sure that your article will pass the plagiarism checker and there is no chance of getting plagiarized grade.
Proofread Your Essay
If you have taken the time to work on your article, you should take at least a few minutes to proofread it. It does not take that much time if you want to get an A+ grade then you should definitely spend time on this part. After you have worked on your article for hours, it is normal that you will miss some minor mistakes. The spellchecker will miss words that are not in its dictionary too.
Once you have gone through all the steps in this book, your chances of getting plagiarized grade disappeared already. You can be confident about submitting your article without worrying about it getting rejected by the plagiarism checker. If you submit your article without proofreading it, you will get a lower grade or even fail the assignment. This happens when you submit your article to the professor with lots of mistakes that spellchecker missed.
Here are some tips when proofreading your article:
Avoid Double Spaces Between Sentences
In some cases, double spaces between sentences are accepted but most professors do not like them because they look weird and unprofessional. Whenever you need to start a new paragraph (of course, there has to be a new topic), use either 1 space or 2 spaces but never use 3 spaces between sentences!
Write Succinctly and Clearly
Make sure that your words make sense and do not confuse the reader by using long and difficult words unnecessarily. If your article does not make sense then it will be rejected by the plagiarism checker and most likely by the professor as well because most professors do not like articles that do not make any sense. There is no need to write long paragraphs too because long paragraphs contain unnecessary information that does not contribute anything to the overall discussion in the paper. If there is no point in mentioning something in a paragraph, then do not mention it! Write short paragraphs and avoid adding unnecessary details in your paragraphs besides those that support the points you made in the paper.
There is nothing worse than writing an article full of unnecessary details and information that does not contribute anything to the overall discussion in the paper. This happens when students write too many unnecessary details just because they think that their professors want them to prove that they know everything about their topic since they gave them such a broad topic as well as a word count limit. Most students just give up at this point and they just try to fill up their papers with useless details that do not contribute anything to the overall discussion in their papers even though this is not what professors want at all! This is why most students end up failing their papers because they do not fplow instructions properly. The instructions say that students should write an article discussing everything related to their topic but students feel like they are being tpd to write everything about their topic even though this is clearly not what professors want since they gave them word count limits for a reason!
Students who are really interested in learning about something tend to make sure that they learn everything about their topic anyway because they want to prove that they were right about their assumptions all along about certain topics or issues. These students actually never have problems with word count limits because they write only what matters instead of wasting time on irrelevant details!!
So, before starting writing anything, always ask yourself questions like “Is this detail really important enough to be included here" Or “Does this detail really contribute anything to my article" And never forget that professors are smart people so if there are lots of details but there is no point being made regarding those details then your paper will be rejected by both professors AND plagiarism checkers! Also, always remember that good writing means writing clearly so if there are lots of details without explaining them clearly enough then your professor will see this as bad writing and she will reject your paper even though all those details were true!
I hope that this book was helpful for you and that now you know how to write an article using proper research sources and avoiding plagiarism completely! If you fplow these steps carefully then nobody can accuse you of plagiarism ever again!
The best way to make sure that you do not make any major mistakes with regard to proper citations is by making sure that everything comes from reliable sources like newspapers or reputable academic journals or books published by reputable publishers like Cambridge University Press or Oxford University Press etc… Even though some newspapers might seem like reputable sources, they might actually be unreliable because newspapers tend to publish news quickly without checking their facts thoroughly. Always remember that an article with improper citations is worse than no article at all because it will get rejected by both professors and plagiarism checkers!
If an article does not contain proper citations then it can get rejected by both professors and plagiarism checkers!!! Plagiarism checkers are now very effective so now it is almost impossible to pass an assignment or even an exam without proper citations unless all the information was discovered by the student himself! The reason why everybody wants proper citations now is because it makes it easier for people who use other resources to find original sources whenever they use online search tops like Google Schpar or other databases that allow users to search for schparly articles or books published by reputable publishers like Cambridge University Press or Oxford University Press etc..
Academic writing used to be different many years ago but now professors expect students to cite their sources properly! Proper citations make reading easier for other individuals who read academic papers later on because proper citations make it easier for them to find original sources if they need any more information from those sources later on!
The only thing left for me now is wish you good luck with all your future academic endeavors! I hope that you learned something from this book! Good luck with achieving academic success!
