Xero?

  • Xero is a cloud accounting software company headquartered in New Zealand. It has offices in Australia, U.K., U.S., Canada, France, Germany and Singapore. The company was founded by Rod Drury and co-founded by Perrin Sutherland and Paul Mackenzie in 2006.
  • Xero serves small businesses around the world as well as about 15% of the largest public companies in the US, including General Electric, Nike and Wal-Mart. In addition to its primary products, Xero also offers an online accounting education program called Xero Academy to help small business owners learn how to manage their books using its software. Xero Academy also helps its users understand tax laws and operate more efficiently.

Integration of SendGrid and Xero

  • On January 19, 2017, Xero announced that its integration with SendGrid would be available to all customers in its US and UK markets starting in April 2017. "Integrating SendGrid’s email delivery platform with Xero means we can give customers even greater flexibility in how they connect their accounting software to their other applications." This integration will make it easier for both Xero and SendGrid customers to send transactional emails through Xero and track them along with other sales data through its financial software platform. "We are excited about what this partnership means for our users," he said.
