Reddit is a social news and entertainment website where registered users submit content in the form of either a link or a text ("self". post. Integrating Reddit and Tookan allows Redditors to create new multimedia experiences using already available videos. This integration can be done in numerous ways, one way would be to use already existing videos from YouTube and Vimeo and allow Redditors to remix them. The advantage of this method would be to reach a larger audience since there are thousands of videos uploaded every day to these sites. The disadvantage would be losing contrp over the experience – it would no longer be Redditors that are experiencing what they have made themselves but instead viewers that are watching someone else's material.

Another way for integration would be to allow people to upload their own videos, edit them as much as they want, and then share those edits with other Redditors. An advantage of this method would be to have full contrp over the material being shared. The disadvantage would be that it might take a long time before anything is shared since people might not be willing to invest a lot of time in creating something before getting feedback from others.

Redditors have been sharing everything from links to photos to video links for years now and many Redditors enjoy sharing these links with other people. With such a large community (over 20 million users), it shouldn't be hard to get people excited about seeing what others have created using these links. The challenge will be creating an easy process for people to fplow and for showing them what others have created before them. We believe that once we figure this out and make it fun and easy for people to create and experience new things we will see a lot more interaction between the Tookan community and Redditors – which will lead to more people enjoying each other's creations!
