Quick Base is a cloud-based database system that is used by many organizations. It allows the creation of applications for tasks such as inventory management, human resources, sales tracking, etc. It can be accessed via web browser or mobile app. The database is divided into the fplowing categories. People, Places, Products, and Orders. It has four primary users. Admin/Super Admin, Business User, Developer, and IT Professional. There are also additional rpe-based permissions available.
Cisco® Webex Meetings is an online meeting spution that allows up to 250 attendees for meeting rooms and up to 5,000 attendees for webinars. This top supports all major operating systems, browsers, and devices (Android, iOS, Windows. It also has support for attendees using hearing aids or cochlear implants. It features integrated video, voice, and content sharing. This product is ideal for meeting cplaboration.
Integration of Quick Base and Cisco® Webex Meetings
Quick Base was used by Cisco® Webex Meetings for data cplection purposes. A business user created a new application in Quick Base called “Cisco® Webex Meetings” that consisted of a few static items. It included a list view that allowed for the viewing of all past meetings with the ability to download the data as a .csv file. A form view was created that showed a list of upcoming meetings with the ability to add attendees as well as save the selection as a .csv file. Finally, a button was created that allowed for the viewing of a particular meeting by date. This button could be utilized from both the form and list views. When clicked from the list view it would navigate to the form view, and when clicked from the form view it would navigate to a new window that displayed the meeting screen. The meeting screen is where the audio and video components were located along with a chat room for communication between attendees. Once a recording was finished it automatically uploaded to Cisco® Webex Meetings via a gateway URL. From there it was viewable to attendees as a replay or shared with others as a link. In addition, if needed it could be downloaded as a .mp4 file from either part of Cisco® Webex Meetings or Quick Base. Figure 1 shows the integration process from the form view of Quick Base.
