In this paper, I will discuss the topic of PostgreSQL and Flipkart integration. First, I will brief about the PostgreSQL and then Flipkart. Further, I will discuss the details about PostgreSQL and Flipkart Integration. In addition, I will demonstrate my understanding on the topic by demonstrating PostgreSQL and Flipkart Integration. Finally, I will provide a brief conclusion about my paper.


PostgreSQL is a relational database management system (RDBMS. with an emphasis on extensibility and standards compliance. It has more than 15 years of active development and a proven architecture that has earned it a strong reputation for reliability, data integrity, and correctness. Flipkart is an e-commerce company based in India. It was founded in October 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal (no relation. While working at Amazon, they came up with an idea to start their own company and quit their jobs.[7] Initially, Sachin left his job at Amazon and started working on Flipkart full-time. Binny Bansal started working on Flipkart part-time from his residence in Koramangala. The business was funded by family and friends and was initially run out of a two-bedroom apartment.[8] Initially, they used to ship goods from sellers directly to customers but soon changed to using Amazon as an intermediate.[7] On May 10, 2014, Flipkart announced that it had raised $210 million from Tiger Global at a valuation of $1 billion as its first round of funding.[9]

Integration of PostgreSQL and Flipkart consists of several stages or phases. The first stage consists of setting up PostgreSQL. After that we need to create a database for PostgreSQL. After creating the database we open the database and use PostgreSQL’s CREATE TABLE command to create a table named “Items” with four cpumns. id, name, price, quantity. After creating items table we use PostgreSQL’s INSERT command to insert some records into Items table. After this, we are going to set up Flipkart. We are going to create a database for Flipkart. Then we are going to create tables for Flipkart’s Items, Categories, Users, etc. After creating tables for Flipkart’s data we are going to configure PostgreSQL’s replication for updating data into Flipkart’s database.

This paper has discussed the integration of PostgreSQL and Flipkart databases. This integration has been carried out in multiple stages namely setting up PostgreSQL database, creating database for flipkart, inserting records into flipkart database through postgresql database, configuring postgresql’s replication for updating data into flipkart database.
