PostgreSQL and Agendor can be integrated through an adapter that can be installed in both sides of the integration. The adapter acts as a mediator between the two sides and allows communication between them to take place seamlessly. The adapter has two parts. 1. a PostgreSQL plugin and 2. an Agendor plugin. The PostgreSQL plugin allows communication from PostgreSQL to Agendor while the Agendor plugin allows communication from Agendor to PostgreSQL.
The setup for this integration should be straightforward and should not require much technical knowledge either from the administrator or the developer.
This integration allows us to get more information about the progress we made through our agile process. For example we can track how many hours we spent on each task or story and we can track how much time we spent on each sprint which will provide us with a better insight to where we spend our time working on our projects and maybe where we can improve to increase productivity. Also we get a full overview of all the stories we wrote to better understand what we did during our last sprint or release. We get all this information from a very simple web interface that does not require much work from our side in order to use it. All we have to do is enter a few details in a form and we get all this information back in our hands without having to write any code at all!
