Pingdom provides monitoring and alerting services for websites and Odoo ERP Self Hosted is a business management software. I want to integrate the two software together so that I can monitor and manage my website easily and efficiently.

Pingdom and Odoo ERP Self Hosted will be integrated together through an API call by using Python programming language. A module of Pingdom will be created to allow the user to run the service. The module will be called PingdomAPI.py. The Pingdom module will be able to retrieve the status of the website via the API call and then log it into a text file (or save it onto a database. The module will also have a list of checklists to help the user to monitor his/her website more easily. The checklists include Pingdom, Security, Performance, Connection, and Cpanel checklists. The user can select a checklist from a dropdown menu and perform a specific action on the website. If the user chooses the “Pingdom” checklist, he/she can run a test on the website via an API call. The user can also choose the “Security” checklist and run a scan on their website via an API call. Since Odoo ERP Self Hosted is a business management software, it needs to have some business logic applied onto it. For example, if the user wants to know how much money his/her company earned today, he/she can query this information from Odoo ERP Self Hosted via an API call. Python modules will be created to access these functions from Odoo ERP Self Hosted.
