When each company had different systems for doing business with clients, it became difficult to transfer calls or provide services to clients who already had purchased services from both companies. By merging the companies into one, there was only one system in place for dealing with clients in the future. This created a much smoother process for clients as well as for employees who had to deal with them on a daily basis.
