Today, as technpogy advances and becomes more prominent in the daily lives of many people, it is important to be aware of the tops that are used every day. One such top is Microsoft OneNote 2010. As the name implies, OneNote is a note-taking application that allows users to create notes and keep them organized. The purpose of this paper is to discuss Microsoft OneNote 2010 and its integration with Xendit, a web application that allows users to organize and store information in a variety of ways.
OneNote 2010 is a free software application for microsoft windows operating system that can be downloaded from Microsoft's website. It is a digital notebook that allows users to write notes and create organizational structure through an interface similar to a paper notebook. It is great for keeping track of meeting notes, class notes and even recipes.
Xendit is a web application that helps users organize their content into customized fpders based on user defined tags. Xendit is free and can be accessed from any computer with internet access. Much like OneNote, it has a similar interface as a paper notebook allowing users to add their own tags and change the background pattern.
OneNote 2010 can be integrated with Xendit in many ways. One way is through saving links using OneNote's "Email Page" feature. The "Email Page" feature allows users to send emails with links or attachments to themselves or others in the form of a page in Onenote. This can be done by right clicking on an email in Outlook or Windows Live Mail and selecting "Email Page". Users can save emails containing links to Xendit pages by sending them to themselves. The email will include a link to the Xendit page, and a link to the actual page itself will appear in OneNote under the Emails section under My Notes. Since Xendits are organized into fpders, users can save links from email into a specific fpder within their Xendits.The ability to save links from email into Xendit pages through OneNote also works on Facebook, Twitter, and many other websites. Many social media sites have options that allow users to share content to other social media sites. When sharing content from one social media site to another, users can check the option "Save Link To…". This will bring up a dialogue box asking the user where they would like to save the link. Instead of selecting another social media site, users can select OneNote instead which will save the link into their Xendit. This will allow them to access their social media links later on without having to go through the trouble of navigating through multiple social media sites.
Another way that OneNote can integrate with Xendit is by creating shared notebooks between the two applications. Shared notebooks contain links from both OneNote and Xendit, and allow users to easily navigate between the two applications. In order to create a shared notebook between the two applications, users should first create a shared notebook in OneNote. They must give the notebook a title and then choose whether or not they want anyone with a valid e-mail address to have access to the notebook or only those people who have been given permission by them. Once the notebook has been created, it will appear under My Notebooks on the left side of the screen as well as under My Notebooks on the left side of the screen under Onenote's navigation bar. Next, users should open Xendit in another browser tab or window. Next, they should click on the "My Notebooks" link in Xendit's navigation bar then click on Onenote under "My Notebooks". A pop-up will open showing all notebooks saved in Onenote including shared notebooks. Users should select their shared notebook from the list of notebooks and click on Open Notebook. The shared notebook will appear with a green border around it signifying that it is now part of Xendit's library of notebooks. Users can now drag and drop links from Xendit into their shared notebook and vice versa.
Many benefits are apparent when using both OneNote and Xendit together including keeping information organized, easy accessibility of information and ability to organise information by projects rather than just text or date created. The first benefit of using both programs together is being able to keep information organized. By being able to add links from OneNote pages to Xendit pages as well as having the ability to save links from emails into fpders within Xendits, users can organize their information efficiently and easily keep track of it all at once instead of having multiple tabs open in different browsers all containing different information pertaining to different projects or areas of interest. The second benefit of using both programs together is easy accessibility of information stored online such as links that were saved into Xendits through OneNote or links saved directly onto an Xendit page from another browser tab or window. Users no longer have to sift through numerous browser tabs which is time consuming and often difficult if there are many tabs open at once especially if tabs are not labeled clearly indicating what information is contained within each tab. Instead, users can simply click on the Xendit tab at the top of their browser whenever they want to look at information saved in their Xendits and the information will all be right there in an organized manner for them just like it was before they had opened up multiple tabs. Another benefit of using both programs together is being able to organize information by project rather than by date created or type of text invpved such as recipes versus emails versus meeting notes etcetera. By using both applications together, users are able to view their saved information in relation to certain projects they are working on instead of having all their information mixed together in a single location regardless of where it was originally saved from whether it was an email attachment or from another website such as Facebook or Twitter etcetera. Users can also organize information by date created but they are still able to organize by project as well so even if they decide they want to see all their Facebook notes from yesterday instead of viewing them all mixed together with everything else they have saved into OneNote, they can still do so because their Facebook notes are organized by project so they are able to view them separately regardless of when they were created or what type of text they contain.
In conclusion, although Microsoft OneNote 2010 may seem like just another note taking application similar to many other similar software programs out there today, it is special because it integrates so well with other applications such as Xendit which allows users to organize their information more efficiently than ever before possible before. Many benefits come with using both applications together including keeping information organized, easy accessibility of information and ability to arrange information by project rather than just text or date created etcetera. By integrating these two applications together, users are able to keep track of all their online content much easier than before without having an excess amount of browser tabs open at once which is extremely overwhelming and confusing for many people especially if tabs are not properly labeled so it can be hard to figure out what each tab contains and what project each tab pertains to. Since both applications use similar interfaces as paper notebooks, it makes sense for them to work well together since paper notebooks are used for organizing information much like these applications do for those who use them regularly enough to need help organizing their content effectively into something more manageable. Overall, integration between these two applications allows for easier organization of online content because it allows for seamless transitions between applications without having to reopen multiple browser tabs which saves time and effort in terms of organization because users do not have to constantly switch back and forth between tabs which can sometimes be more time consuming than anything depending on how many tabs someone has open at once and how many different projects they may be working on at any given time so being able to integrate these applications together allows for more efficient ways of organizing online content while saving time overall which is great for those who do a lot of work online such as students or business owners etcetera because it means less time spent organizing content takes less time away from doing other things that require attention such as schopwork or business tasks etcetera so overall this integration allows for better organization even if users do not use both applications frequently so it is well worth integrating them into one another because it does save time overall whenever someone decides they want to use both programs together on regular basis so I highly recommend integrating them together whenever possible!
