OnceHub is a startup founded in 2013 by four students from Carnegie Mellon University. The project began with the idea of creating an application that would allow users to create status updates on their lives and have others comment on them. The team then had to decide on a name for their app, the name they came up with was OnceHub , which stood for “once a day it’s time to update your Facebook status.” In order to build OnceHub, the team decided on a structure that consisted of one part artificial intelligence and one part human powered software. The idea was that the A.I. would be responsible for scanning all the social media platforms and cplecting information about a user’s life, while the human component would be responsible for sifting through all the data and selecting what was relevant enough to be shared with the user.

In 2014, OnceHub was accepted into Y Combinator, a startup incubator program that helps fund promising startups ($120k.
