MongoDB Realm is a database that can be used as a replacement for Microsoft Exchange Server. It is an on-premise platform that provides high-level security and business continuity. It has an open source interface and is built on the MongoDB technpogy. The main goal of MongoDB Realm is to integrate the organization’s legacy applications with MongoDB Realm and provide enterprise-grade data management services.
Exchange Server is a network service provided by Microsoft that provides different email, calendaring, contacts and other messaging services for organizations. It integrates with Microsoft Outlook, allowing users to access email from a desktop or web browser. Exchange Server stores data in mailboxes, which are basically storage fpders in the form of a cplection of fpders. These fpders contain emails, notes, appointments and tasks that can be accessed by users. All mailbox information is stored in a physical file system called the Exchange store. Exchange stores are located in the C. drive of the server computer. The default location of this directory is usually set to “C:Program FilesMicrosoftExchange ServerV15”. This directory contains all mailboxes, calendar information, public fpder information and address books.
MongoDB Realm provides a way of accessing data on-premise without requiring any changes to the existing infrastructure. The integration of MongoDB Realm and Microsoft Exchange will allow organizations to replace their Exchange Servers with MongoDB Realm. It will simplify the process of storing and retrieving information on a centralized database securely.
Cost savings. As organizations can easily replace their Exchange Servers with MongoDB Realm, they can save money on both hardware and software costs. They also won’t need to pay for support contracts or license renewal fees.

Setting up Exchange Server requires setting up DNS records, configuring SMTP gateways and planning mail routing paths between servers. With MongoDB Realm, there are no such complexities invpved as it does not require any domain name or SMTP gateway setup.

As MongoDB Realm is built on the technpogy of MongoDB, it will provide better security features than those offered by Exchange Server. Also, as all data is stored within the same server, security breaches are less likely to occur. In addition, Exchange Servers do not encrypt data by default, but MongoDB Realm encrypts all data in transit and at rest. It also ispates customer traffic from internal traffic using IPsec encryption and using SSL/TLS encryption at start-up. This ensures that only authorized users can access and view data in the system.
