Integration of Mixpanel and Vimeo

This paper will explain the integration of Mixpanel with Vimeo, and how it is beneficial for both companies. It will explain what mixpanel is and how it is used. It will also present the benefits of mixpanel, including how it is used in Vimeo to present data about users, especially viewers. It will explain what mixpanel does and how it is used.

Mixpanel is a service that is used by many companies to track their customers’ actions. Mixpanel is an analytics service that helps cplect information about everything people do on websites (McCarthy, 2014. It creates reports based on the actions of the customers and gives you access to those reports. The company also makes it easy for you to create your own custom events and analyses to make the data more useful (ibid. Here are three examples of how it could be used. 1. You could find out how many people viewed a specific part of your website; 2. you could find out how many people signed up for your service; and 3. you could find out how many people unsubscribed from your service (ibid. Based on the three examples, you can see that it can be used in different ways and can be used as a way to monitor user activity.

Mixpanel is used by many companies such as Apple, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Apple uses mixpanel to monitor how people use their products such as iPads and iPhones (ibid. It helps them improve the quality of their products by monitoring customer actions. Twitter uses it to determine how many people view certain tweets and helps them figure out which tweets are most interesting to people (ibid. Facebook uses mixpanel to monitor how people interact with content on their website and other social media sites (ibid. It helps them monitor which types of content people like and which they do not like, so they can make changes to the content if they want to improve it.

In addition to these three examples, mixpanel can also be used by online video sharing sites such as Vimeo. Online video sharing sites such as youtube have been around for a long time, but now there are other online video sharing sites that are becoming more popular since they offer people a way to easily upload videos that they have created to their own page where they can then share it with others. These online video sharing sites are becoming more popular because you can easily upload a video, watch a video without having to download it, and share it with others so they can watch it as well. Vimeo is one of those online video sharing sites. Vimeo offers people a way to upload videos that they have created so they can share those videos with others (“Vimeo,” n.d..

Like all other online video sharing sites, Vimeo has a way for its customers to create accounts so that they can log into the site and post videos to their account using their username and password. However, unlike other online video sharing sites, Vimeo has a way for its customers to access a dashboard page that provides a graph of how many people have viewed a particular video (“Vimeo,” n.d.. This dashboard page shows the amount of views each video has received over time (ibid. For example, if someone uploaded a video on January 1st 2013, this dashboard page would show how many times that video has been viewed over time until today (ibid. This dashboard page also shows how many views each video has received per day (ibid. This allows users to see which videos are more popular than others and which ones are not as popular; however, there is no way to tell which videos are less popular than others. If someone wanted to do this, they would need another top such as mixpanel.

Vimeo uses mixpanel to track user activity on their website (“Vimeo,” n.d.. This includes how often users sign into their account, how often users view videos, how often users comment on videos, etc. Using this information, Vimeo knows what type of videos its customers like the most and which ones they do not like so much (ibid. Vimeo can then use this information to change the types of videos it offers so that its customers will like them more. This allows Vimeo to provide its customers with videos that they will enjoy more. If Vimeo does not change its videos based on customer feedback, then its customers will stop using their website because they do not like the videos that Vimeo offers.

Some of the benefits of integrating mixpanel with vimeo are cost-effectiveness, ease of use, and high quality of reporting (“Mixpanel vs KISSmetrics vs Google Analytics vs Others – What Tops Should You Use?,” n.d.. Cost-effectiveness is important because companies need to make sure that what they use does not cost them too much money. If what they use costs too much money, then they may not be able to afford it or may have to look for something else that is cheaper. Easy of use means that companies want tops that are easy for non-technical personnel to use. They may hire someone who knows how to use the top but still needs help doing so because they are not familiar with it or are very busy with other tasks so they cannot spend all their time learning how to use it (ibid. With high quality reporting means that companies want tops that provide them with high quality reporting so they can understand the data better so they know how to make changes based on the data.

The integration of mixpanel with vimeo allows vimeo to monitor user activity on their website so that they can improve the quality of their product and provide their customers with videos that they will enjoy clicking on and viewing. Also, integrating mixpanel with vimeo allows vimeo to see whether their customers like certain videos or not so they can change the types of videos that they offer based on the feedback from their customers. This paper explains what mixpanel does and how it can be used effectively in vimeo.
