Integration of Microsoft To-Do and Timely by Memory

Microsoft To-Do is a new task management app that is available on the Microsoft Store. It combines the functionality of Wunderlist and Outlook Tasks (two popular and well-established apps that have been discontinued recently. Microsoft To-Do’s main purpose is to help users organize and manage their tasks, making it easier for them to manage their time.

Timely by Memory is an app that provides users with smart reminders and assists them in tracking their daily activities. Timely by Memory can be used to create grocery lists, notes, and to-do lists; it also features a Goal Tracker module. Users can add a note to any Day, Week or Month and receive notifications about this note.

Microsoft To-Do has become the default task management app for all Office 365 and Outlook users since the announcement of its release. This is due to the fact that Microsoft had decided to discontinue Wunderlist and Outlook Tasks. To-Do can be used for organizing tasks without worrying about any additional accounts/devices. All data is synchronized instantly across all devices and OneDrive.

To-Do has a clean, simple user interface, allowing the user to focus on the task at hand. The hamburger menu has three options. Home, My Day, and Your Day. The Home tab contains a list of all tasks, in order of completion. The My Day tab displays tasks that are scheduled for the day selected in the Calendar view. The Your Day tab shows tasks that are assigned to other people.

The Calendar view is a daily calendar which can be used to display upcoming events and tasks scheduled for the current day. All tasks are displayed in cpor codes (blue for completed tasks, red for tasks due today, yellow for all other tasks. and can be resized by dragging on the edges of the calendar view.

The Recurring section is available only for Premium subscribers (requires an Office 365 account. It can be used to create recurring tasks. Recurring tasks will appear in the Calendar view automatically once they’re created.

The calendar can be pinned as a tile to the Start menu or be set as a lock screen background.

The Your Day tab is similar to the Calendar view but only shows tasks assigned to you by other people. The number of tasks assigned to you is shown next to your name, along with a badge indicating the amount of remaining time before any reminders for these tasks are triggered.

The Task Details page displays information about a task/appointment. location, description, attachments (if any), start time, alarms (if any), reminders (if any), and owner (this field is blank if the user created the task.

The Completed Tasks section is available only for Premium subscribers (requires an Office 365 account. It contains a list of all completed tasks with links to edit or delete them. Completed tasks do not have reminders associated with them.

Users can create fpders using drag & drop or by tapping on the “new fpder” icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Fpders can be renamed, shared with other people, and added to the Quick Access section. Fpders disappear from this section when there are no tasks within them.

The Quick Access section contains a list of up to eight most frequently used fpders and can be accessed by tapping on it or by swiping from left to right on the home screen. Each time a fpder is opened, it appears in this section until another fpder is opened. Fpders cannot be renamed or deleted from this section.

When creating a task, users can specify whether it’s a recurring task or an attachment, choose its priority level or assign it to a person (this requires an Office 365 account. They can also add multiple reminders to each task. Reminders can be set up for each day of the week, every weekday, one specific day of the week, every weekend day, or one specific weekend day. Reminders can also be set up for specific dates (for example. Thanksgiving. or exact times (for example. 20 minutes from now. using natural language processing. Reminders can also be set up using Cortana voice commands (for example. “remind me tomorrow at 8 am”. If the user wants a reminder at a specific date/time but doesn’t need one every week/month/year, they can change the Reminder Type from "Always On" to "Once".
