Integration of Microsoft To-Do and Webex Meetings

The purpose of this article is to compare and contrast Microsoft To-Do and WebEx Meeting. To start off, Microsoft To-Do is a task management app that helps people manage their daily tasks in an organized way. It integrates with Office 365 and Outlook. On the other hand, Cisco® Webex Meetings is a web conferencing service that is used for meetings, training, and remote support. It can be integrated with Microsoft To-Do so that you can schedule meetings in your To-Do calendar.

Microsoft has many applications available on its platform, one of which is Microsoft To-Do. This app is free to use and features integration with Office 365 and Outlook. The interface of this application is user-friendly and easy to navigate through. There are various functionalities that this application offers. They are:

Planner view. This view is all about tasks that you need to do today or later in the future. You can also see all of your upcoming tasks in this view.

Today view. This view shows your tasks for today. It also includes weather information, reminders, and suggestions.

My Day view. This view shows what you have planned for the day. You can also create new tasks in this view.

All Tasks view. In this view, you can see all of your tasks from any time period. It also allows you to filter the tasks by category and other parameters.

Outlook integration. The planner view can be integrated with Outlook so that you can manage your tasks from both apps.

Cisco® Webex Meetings is a cloud-based web conferencing service used by online meeting provider Cisco Systems®. It allows users to host online meetings with up to 1000 attendees. It has a simple interface that provides a basic set of features. It can be integrated with Microsoft To-Do so that users can schedule meetings from the calendar app. Using the calendar app’s integration feature, users can also share a calendar with other users to help them organize their meetings. This integration feature allows users to attend a meeting from the calendar app and start a meeting from the web conferencing app. The main features of this application include:

Web conferencing. Cisco® Webex Meeting’s web conferencing feature allows users to host online meetings using their computer or mobile device. It features a simple interface with limited features. There are basic tops such as the ability to upload files, zoom, record screen sharing, play audio, and use remote contrp features during a meeting. The screen sharing and recording features allow participants to share their screen and capture the display to use as a resource later on.

Meeting rooms. Users can create meeting rooms for their own use or for sharing with other users. Each room has its own URL and name. Users can invite other users to join a meeting room using their email address or phone number.

Mobile apps. Users can attend online meetings using their mobile device using the Cisco® Webex Meetings mobile app. The app features basic tops such as joining an existing meeting room, chat rooms, and the ability to dial in numbers for call-in meetings.

Browser-based meetings. Users can host online meetings by accessing Cisco® Webex Meeting through their browser without installing any software or downloading any mobile apps. This method is usually used when the number of attendees is lower than 100. This method is generally preferred because it reduces the amount of bandwidth required to host such meetings. The drawbacks of such meetings are that they require attendees to install a plugin and attend meetings using browsers like Microsoft Edge or Chrome instead of using native apps like Microsoft To-Do or Google Calendar. However, users who attend such meetings can dial in to join via phone calls, which will make it easier for them to participate in the meeting remotely.

Cisco® Webex Meeting can be integrated with Microsoft To-Do so that users can schedule meetings within their To-Do calendars. If you want to integrate these two applications, fplow these steps:

Go to Microsoft To-Do’s settings tab under the “Settings” section of the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click on “Calendar” under “Connected Apps & Sites” option on the left side of the Settings tab page. Under “Add connection” section, click on “Add Connection” button on the right side of the page. Choose “Cisco WebEx Meetings” from the list of apps on the “Add Connection” window that pops up on your screen after clicking on “Add Connection” button above. Enter your Cisco Webex Meeting account information on the next window that pops up on your screen after choosing Cisco® Webex Meetings option from above step 4 above. After entering your account info, click on “Sign In” button on that window to finish integration of these two applications. After signing into your account, select your calendar under “Choose Your Calendars” section on the same window mentioned in step 5 above. Select your calendar by clicking on it once it is highlighted in blue on that window mentioned in step 5 above after signing in to your account in step 4 above, then click on “Next” button on that window mentioned in step 5 above after selecting your calendar in step 6 above then it will take you back to the same window mentioned in step 5 above then click on “Save” button on that window mentioned in step 5 above then it will take you back to the same window mentioned in step 5 above then click on “Done” button on that window mentioned in step 5 above after saving your changes made in step 7 above then it will take you back to the same window mentioned in step 5 above then click on “Close” button on that window mentioned in step 5 above after closing that window mentioned in step 5 above Then you will go back to the Settings tab page then click on “Set Permissions” under “Connected Apps & Sites” option at the left side of the Settings tab page then it will take you to web page where you will set permissions for connecting these two applications together then click on web page link labeled “Set Permissions” then it will take you back to Settings page then click on “Done” button at bottom right corner of that page then it will take you back to Settings page Then close Microsoft To-Do from your computer browser
