Mautic is an open source marketing automation platform, which was released in 2014. The software is built on the LAMP stack. Its core components are Magento, PHP, MySQL, and Apache. Mautic also has two add-ons namely, CRM and eCommerce. Mautic can be used to create an automated workflow for marketing campaigns through its email marketing, social media marketing, SMS marketing etc. It is similar to Salesforce in nature, but it is open source in nature. Mautic is released under the GNU General Public License version 3.

It provides a service catalog that can be used for managing service requests and incidents. It has a workflow engine that can be used for automating processes. ServiceNow provides a self-service portal for customers, which allows them to submit requests and monitor the status of their requests. Integration of Mautic and ServiceNow can be done by fplowing steps:
Step 1. Create a ServiceNow account:
Sign up for a free trial account at ServiceNow and fplow the instructions provided to set up your account and create your first tenant.
Step 2. Create a Mautic account:
Go to www.mautic.org and click on "Contribute" button to create a user account or log in with an existing user account to access the backend interface.
Step 3. Access the Mautic backend:
If you have created a new account, then you will be redirected to the login page where you need to enter your username and password to login to the backend interface. You can also access the backend interface by signing in with an existing user account.
Step 4. Configure ServiceNow Integration:
Open the "Manage Apps" menu from top right corner of the Mautic backend interface and click on "ServiceNow" option from the drop down menu for integration with ServiceNow. In the "ServiceNow Configuration" window that opens up select "ServiceNow" from "Service Type" dropdown menu and then choose "New Account" from "Account Type" dropdown menu from the same window. Enter your ServiceNow credentials to configure the integration with ServiceNow. Click on "Connect" button to complete the integration with ServiceNow.
Step 5. Configure a new notification in ServiceNow:
Open a new incident in ServiceNow and click on "Notifications" link from top right corner of the screen to open a new notification window in which you have to choose "Email Notification" from "Notification Type" dropdown menu and then click on "Add New Notification" button from left side of that window to open up a new notification window where you have to enter subject line and body line for your notification email and then choose "Mautic" from "Application" dropdown menu and click on "Save" button save the notification in ServiceNow.
