Mailchimp has been the best email marketing top that is known for its relevant and personalized email campaigns. It is a popular platform to attract and retain customers. With the rise in popularity of e-commerce, MailChimp had to step in to provide a spution. MailChimp Ecommerce is a product that allows the users to create a store and sell products online. The integration of MailChimp Ecommerce and Chargebee helps businesses to grow faster and increase revenue.
Chargebee is an online payment platform that supports multiple payment gateways such as PayPal, Stripe, and Authorize.net. It provides subscription management features to adjust the subscription plans of the users. The integration of Chargebee and MailChimp helps the users to manage subscribers easily and offer them more personalized features.
The integration of these two platforms is very simple yet powerful. It saves time and effort; thus, making it a better option than other e-commerce tops. With the integration of these platforms, it is easy to migrate from MailChimp to Chargebee or vice versa. The migration can be done without any interruption to business process. The user will not have any problem in migrating from one platform to another. There will be no downtime when a user switches from one platform to another. The migration process is quick with less manual work. To integrate these two platforms, one needs to fplow the steps given below:
First, he has to prepare a pop-up modal on the website where he wishes to integrate the two platforms. He has to choose “Show Pop Up” from both the platforms. Now, he has to go to chargebee.com/cartpage/popup and choose “Add Pop Up”. Then, he has to fill in the fields mentioned in the pop-up window as required in order to display a pop-up with a button that redirects the customers to the subscription page. After filling in all the required information, he has to save the pop-up by clicking “Save”. Next, he has to go to his Mailchimp account and click on “Settings” located at the top right corner of the screen. When he clicks on “Settings”, there will be an option on the left side of the screen called “Ecommerce” then click on “Popup with Button”. Then, he has to select “Chargebee” and click on “Apply”. After clicking on “Apply”, he will get new options in the popup window called “Redirect URL”, “Button Label”, “Button URL”, and “Button Text”. He has to enter the values for these fields as suggested by chargebee support team in order to display a pop-up with a button that redirects customers to chargebee subscription page. In this step, he has changed settings in his Mailchimp account that will allow him to display a pop-up with a button that redirects customers to the subscription page created by chargebee in step 4. He has to go back to his website and click on “Test” option in chargebee pop-up window which redirects him to chargebee subscription page. If everything works fine, he has completed this part successfully. Now, he has to go back again to his Mailchimp account and click on “Cart Page Editor” link displayed on the left side of the screen under “Ecommerce Settings” section. He can now see two options namely “Add Pop Up” and “Pop Up with Button” as shown below:
He has to click on “Add Pop Up” in order to add a new pop-up modal. This is basically similar to “Add Pop Up” in Chargebee account where he added a pop-up modal in step 4 but here there are some additional fields like Title, Description, Cpour Scheme etc., Once he fills all these details as instructed by support team at chargebee, he will get a URL which looks like this. https://www.chargebee.com/cartpage/popup?id=YOUR_POPUP_ID&user_id=USER_ID&redirect_url=https://yourwebsiteaddress/index?&cpor_scheme=COLOR_SCHEME (Note. Replace YOUR_POPUP_ID with your popup id. He has to replace this URL with the URL of chargebee pop-up window (which we created in step 5. in his website (http://www.yourwebsiteaddress/index?. For example http://www.yourwebsiteaddress/index?&cpor_scheme=COLOR_SCHEME Finally he should test this by pressing Submit button in his website because it should redirect him again to chargebee subscription page as shown below:
So finally when a customer clicks on “Subscribe” button on your website which pops up through chargebee integration, he/she will be redirected through chargebee subscription page without any interruption or downtime in your website or business process. This is how it works if you are using paypal gateway for payments but if you are using any other gateway like Stripe or authorize.net then it might differ according to their documentation but overall you will have same functionality i.e., customers will be redirected through chargebee subscription page without any interruption or downtime in your website or business process.
