Integration of LinkedIn and Vend has already started from the social media side. On Aug 25th 2011, Vend announced that they would be integrating Facebook Connect into their Vend POS system. Through this integration, Vend users will be able to view a live feed of the posts made by their Facebook friends within the Vend system. Vend also plans on integrating Twitter into the system at a later date. In addition to this social integration, Vend also plans on integrating its POS system directly into LinkedIn. By this integration, a user logging into their account from their Vend account will be able to see all of their contacts from their LinkedIn account in their Vend account. This will allow them to contact these contacts to invite them to use the Vend POS system.All of these integrations between LinkedIn and Vend are a great addition to what both companies have to offer individually. They allow for tighter integration between the two separate systems which will help increase the amount of exposure they both have as well as allowing for more direct marketing between the two companies. These integrations give both companies a stronger presence in the market as they are now able to reach more end users through each other's channel.
