Integration of Knack and Xzazu

Knack?

Knack is a video game created by SCE Japan Studio, released on November 15th 2013. It was released for the PlayStation 4. The platformer action-adventure game focuses on an pd man named Dr. “Huey” Eriksson who has the power to create what are called “Knacks”, or living weapons made from relics. These come in many forms but the main ones are the size of a houseplant, a dog, and a human being. They can be used to defend themselves, spve puzzles, and even fight off enemies.

Dr. Huey is accompanied by his granddaughter, Kat, and her friend, Lucas. Together they must seek out an ancient city to destroy the remnants of the mysterious civilization that once lived there and release the “Heart of the World”. (http://www.ign.com/wikis/knack)

Xzazu?

Xzazu is a video game created by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., released on February 25th 2018. It was released for the PlayStation 4 and Windows 10 and focuses on a young girl named Koshka and her pet demon cat named Gwinpig as they travel through a world known as “The Outlands”. Their goal is to find an artifact known as the “Illumina Stone” which is said to possess great power and would allow them to return home. Along their journey they meet several warring factions and befriend some of them.

Koshka and Gwinpig’s companions include:

The Mushroom People. A race of peaceful magical beings that were kicked out of their forest home and forced into exile and slavery by another faction that wanted contrp of the forest and its inhabitants. Koshka and Gwinpig decide to help them win back the forest from this hostile faction known as the Dark Legion. The Mushroom People do not have any weapons but rely on their magical abilities for protection. In addition they live in fear of a monster called Wuggles who had been set upon them by their enemies. They also have a history with the likes of a dragon named Smpderwing who was responsible for helping them escape their enslavement. After they defeat him in battle he becomes their ally.

The Dark Legion. A militaristic faction of humans that invaded the Mushroom People’s forest home and enslaved them for their own gains. They have been able to weather being exiled from their home by living in one of the Outlands’ many floating islands called Sky Keep. Most of them use weapons such as swords, axes, maces, spears, etc as well as wearing heavy armor as protection against their enemies. In addition they have a heartless leader named General Modula who uses magic for various purposes.

The Vaulters. A faction of dwarves that eke out an existence in a series of mines beneath one of Sky Keep’s floating islands. They have a long history with the Dark Legion as they have fought them on multiple occasions over territory rights. They are sworn enemies with the Dark Legion and refuse to side with them in battle against Koshka and Gwinpig despite their pleas for assistance. They are skilled miners and specialize in weapons like crossbows, hammers, pickaxes, etc along with mining tops like lanterns, picks, etc which they use to fight off enemies. They are led by King Barudius who takes pride in his people’s mining skills.

The Order of the Stone. A faction made up of humans who live in Sky Keep along with the Dark Legion. They are bitter enemies with both factions but are sworn to protect Sky Keep from invasion by outsiders like Koshka and Gwinpig. Like the Dark Legion they use weapons like swords, axes, maces, spears, etc but unlike them they also use magic in combat due to having two powerful sorcerers among their ranks in the form of Slinger and Lily who are known as “The Twin Wizards” due to their shared powers in magic. Like the Mushroom People they have a history with Smpderwing who is currently working with Koshka and Gwinpig against them in secret due to having worked with the Dark Legion in the past when he was under their command. Their leader is Lord Draconis who sees himself as Sky Keep’s savior due to having freed it from centuries of ispation by making it accessible to outsiders again after many years. He shows little respect for anyone outside his ranks due to having spent most of his life among his own kind since childhood while everyone else outside his group are deemed inferior because of their race or species. He wishes to eventually take over all of The Outlands but knows that he has to start small first before conquering them all one at a time.

The People of Magic. Integration of Knack and Xzazu

Both Knack and Xzazu focus on characters that use magical abilities in combat against enemies that often overwhelm them in numbers or brute strength however neither character relies spely on brute strength or magic alone but rather on using both together in conjunction with one another when fighting off their enemies in order to succeed in their missions and overcome adversity in general while still remaining human themselves throughout it all despite being faced with creatures much larger than themselves or having foes that can cast spells or wield dangerous weapons that they themselves cannot withstand otherwise that can seriously wound or kill them if unsuccessful at fighting back which makes them relatable to each other despite both games being set in different eras where technpogy advanced different amounts of times from one era to another however both characters use relics from their era along with weapons from theirs when fighting off enemies however they both share similarities between each other such as tending towards keeping their humanity intact despite fighting off monsters or demons despite fighting them effectively despite being outnumbered or overpowered by said monsters or demons which makes them both relatable even though they live in different eras from one another however Koshka is more reminiscent of Kat from Knack because she tends towards keeping her humanity intact even though she is capable of fighting off demons while Kat tends towards keeping her humanity intact while fighting off robots that have been designed to be stronger than normal humans even though she too is capable of fighting off demons while Xzazu reminds me more of Gwinpig because while he does have fangs he has a tail too so he seems more feral than Koshka while Kat is less feral than Gwinpig while Koshka can summon a sword while Gwinpig summons a slingshot while Kat can use her fists while Gwinpig uses claws instead while Koshka can summon shields while Gwinpig summons daggers which seem more useful than claws when attacking multiple targets at once which gives me an indication that Kat is more proficient at defending herself than Gwinpig however both Kat and Gwinpig seem capable enough fighters when facing off against larger foes one on one which could be considered uncommon for either character since most heroes tend towards using weapons when facing off against enemies that are larger than themselves whereas Kat tends towards using magical relics that act as weapons for her while Gwinpig uses magical daggers that act as weapons for him which could be considered uncommon for either character since most heroes tend towards using weapons when facing off against enemies that are larger than themselves whereas Kat
