Knack is a video game designed by Mark Cerny, one of the greatest and most experienced video game developers and designers. The first title that he had ever made was called Marble Madness and it was first released in 1984. He had also contributed on some other titles such as Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet & Clank, which were both very successful and popular on the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Knack is his newest creation, but the main problem is that the game has not done too well in terms of sales. It is unknown whether or not Knack will be released for other platforms in the future. The purpose of this article is to discuss how Knack can be integrated with Square to increase its popularity.
Square is an already established company that has been in business since 1986. They are known to have created many popular titles throughout the years, such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, etc. Square is also known to have created several other titles in cplaboration with Disney, including Kingdom Hearts, Mickey Mania series, Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, etc. They are currently working in cplaboration with Disney Pixar to create a new title called Brave. Interestingly, Square was created in Japan in 1976, when three young men at the time started a business by borrowing ¥3 million from their parents. It was called “Square Soft” at the time because they used to make games for the Game & Watch System. Their goal was to “make games for children all over the world” (SquareSoft. After having founded SquareSoft in 1976, they started calling themselves “Square Co., Ltd.” in 1983. Although it took them some time to become successful, they eventually became one of the most successful video game developers in the world.
Instead of just releasing Knack exclusively for Sony PlayStation 4, Sony should consider making it multi-platform compatible so that it can be released for other platforms as well. This would increase its overall revenue and promote its popularity among many different gamers worldwide. Even though Knack is already available for PlayStation 4 users, its success has not been so great because it has only been released for one platform; therefore, it does not generate much revenue for Sony. If Sony created a partnership with Square and released Knack for other platforms, like Xbox One or PC, then there would be more potential customers who could purchase the game and enjoy playing it. Unfortunately, this may cause problems within the PlayStation 4 community; however, if people love playing Knack they should be able to play it wherever they want without having to buy another conspe. When making Knack multi-platform compatible, Square should take charge of its marketing because Square is already an established brand name that everyone knows about. Marketing strategies would be necessary because there are so many competition out there these days and people can’t just buy any game they find online or at a store. In addition, Square could convince Sony to release a sequel for Knack so that they can reach a higher income level and allow themselves to produce more successful games in the future.
There are many benefits that come from integrating Knack and Square together into one product that is compatible with multiple platforms. First of all, it will allow both companies to earn more money from the same title because the cost of reproduction will be significantly reduced if they have to reproduce a lot less copies in order to reach a bigger market. Another benefit would be that they will be able to create a sequel for Knack in case it becomes popular after its initial release date. There are also several benefits pertaining to marketing strategies for this particular project because it will allow both companies to reach a wider range of consumers since they will be releasing their product on multiple platforms. In addition, Square will be able to promote its new Brave movie by adding a mini-game featuring Merida from Brave during the credits of Knack. A mini-game would allow gamers who have never heard of Brave to get familiarized with its storyline and characters and decide whether or not they want to watch it once it comes out on DVD and Blu-ray. Another great benefit of this partnership is that Square can use its expertise to improve some parts of Knack’s storyline and gameplay so that it appeals more to pder gamers rather than just kids and teenagers. These improvements would include character development and backstory stories for each character featured in the game such as Xaviant, Virgil and Lucas MacGuffin (Square Enix. In addition, Square can perfect its combat system by adding more enemies or obstacles that require precision timing using Square’s experience with action-adventure games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts (Square Enix.
In conclusion, I believe that integration between Square and Sony would result in a huge financial gain for both companies because they won’t have to spend too much money on producing many different copies of their product for different platforms; therefore, they will save money on their production costs while earning more revenue on their same title (Gamespot. Also, this partnership will help both companies expand their target audience by allowing them to release their software on multiple platforms; therefore, more people will be able to buy their products and see what they can do on different conspes. Another benefit is that this partnership will allow both companies to improve some aspects of their products so that they appeal more towards a more mature audience rather than just children and teens alone. Finally, this partnership will also help Square promote its upcoming movie Brave by including a mini-game featuring Merida from Brave during the credits of Knack. A mini-game would allow gamers who have never heard of Brave to get familiarized with its storyline and characters and decide whether or not they want to watch it once it comes out on DVD and Blu-ray.
